Speedy Recovery

Hello, welcome back to One Crazy Stamper! It's Heather, with you Sunday inspiration. Last Sunday a posted a card with Seymore's Sick Day. I mentioned I had been experimenting with dragon colors, so today I have a slightly more yellow/green alternative.

Both look great when paired with the right papers!

I also used the Back on your Feet sentiment with this cutie. The length of the sentiment didn't quite go in the space I had available, so I carefully cut it down into four pieces and made it work for my layout. Love it!

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great weekend!

Cat Doctor Is In!

Welcome One Crazy Stamper Fans!

We have a brand new release for Get Well Wishes from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Today I'm sharing what I'm calling the Cat Doctor Is In, featuring "Nurse Kitty" (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the image and High Hopes Rubber Stamps - "Get Well Soon Script2".
Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE black cats and so I just had to colour this image in the darker colours! LOL! Coloured the image using Copic markers and then used PrismaColor Premier Black pencil to create the fine fur texture.
The striped background paper was chosen because it reminded me of the Candy Stripers who used to volunteer at all of the hospitals when I was younger. (Dating myself here! LOL!) Hoping this little kitty puts a smile on someone's face and cheers them up!

Card Recipe:

Dragon - Sick Day

Welcome OCS Fans!
It's Wednesday, and so I'm happy to be posting this adorable little dragon to help put a smile on your face! I decided to make an Easel Card this week. The dragon I am using is called "Seymore's Sick Day" by High Hopes Rubber Stamps. It was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then coloured in with Copic Markers. I then, fussy cut around the entire image.
To do the background behind the dragon, I cut out some Bristol Paper using my Cuttlebug and Lawn Fawn - Zig Zag Rectangle Stackables. Then used Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers to create the ground and shadow beneath the dragon. The clouds were done using Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Salty Ocean and I had created a stencil from Avery Elle - Custom Steel Dies - Pierced Clouds Die. Finally, I ran my little dragon through the Xyron machine and layered it on top of the background that I had created.
Close up of the Dragon:
For the sentiment I used "Tail Not Waggin / Get Well Soon" by High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine - Onyx Black and then embossed with Ranger - Clear Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.
I completed card by using the Zig Zag dies again to cut out  a border around the coloured image and sentiment. Sentiment was popped up with some pop-up squares. Around the background papers, frames and sentiment I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet.
Background Paper, Recollections - Petite Floral - 12 x 12" (30.4 x 30.4 cm) and some flowers from my collection were then used to complete the card.
To make the Easel Card I just took a 5.5" x 12" piece of white cardstock and then scored at 6" and then on one of the 6" portions at 3". This allows the card to lay flat when mailing.

Card Recipe:

Dragon: YG01, YG03, YG13, YG17, Y15, Y17, Y18, V12, V04, V09
Hot Water Bottle: B32, B34, B37
Pill Bottle: E23, E25, C1, C2
Thermometer: C1, C2
Background: Ground: Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers - Terracotta, Sepia, Tan, Moss; Sky: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Salty Ocean
Around card and borders: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet
Background Paper: Recollections - Petite Floral - 12 x 12" (30.4 x 30.4 cm)
Die Cuts: Lawn Fawn - Zig Zag Rectangle Stackables; Avery Elle - Custom Steel Dies - Pierced Clouds

Garden Lamb

Now doesn't this cute little lamb and chick make you think of spring?  It does for me and I can't wait for winter to be gone!
Although I made this into a belated birthday card, this image is perfect for a spring-like or Easter card.  After colouring the image, I added some Stickles to the flowers for a little sparkle and glam and then I was off to the stash for some buttons and dots!  I could hardly believe my good luck when I found a button and some enamel dots with a perfect colour match.

Shake Your Ba-Donkey-Donk

Hi There,

Sharing a birthday card that I made using a combination of High Hope Rubber Stamps - Party Donkey S113, Brayden's Backside T066 and Warm Wishes S106. When I first saw the 2 donkey stamps, I knew just what I was going to do with them and it made me giggle just thinking about it! LOL! I hope that you get a giggle too!

I coloured in the High Hope Rubber Stamp - Party Donkey S113 on the front of the card and the fussy cut around the stamp. The cake is from the High Hopes Warm Wishes S106 stamp. I stamped it out and then fussy cut around it. I made the little flames using some spare yellow cardstock.

Here is a close up of Party Donkey.

On the inside of the card, I decided to have some fun with the High Hopes - Brayden's Backside T066. I stamped out the full image and then just the back haunches and tail. I coloured in both images and then fussy cut around them both. I attached the haunches using an Activation Wobble Spring. When you bring it to one side or the other. The butt shakes back and forth! LOL!

Here is close up:

One Crazy Stampers Layout page using High Hopes Stamps

Welcome OCS Fans;

Hi it's Bev here today and I am super excited as this is my first DT project for One Crazy Stampers using High Hopes Stamps. I also am thrilled to tell you that I will not be doing cards but scrapbook layout pages and some of the accents will be co-ordinating stamps for the themes of the projects. It should be great fun. First up is a page of my hubby "Kenny" fishing and what better stamps as the fisherman, the sign post and the words "gone fishing".

To start my project I stamped the images .... Gone Fishing wording was fit into the sign and then the fisherman.

It was then coloured using copic markers and the highlights are signo white gel pen.

I start with the paper background, accent papers, title and accents are picked out. I added a tilt border on the top and bottom and added wrapped twine at the seams.
The chipboard accents and title are copic coloured also.

These super cute images are popped forward on top of the chipboard accents.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Dad's Catch Q111Sign Post T204

Oh the Weather Outside is .....

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
Since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn't show signs of stoppin'
And I've brought some corn for poppin'
The lights are turned down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Yesterday we were under a heavy snowfall warning of 20 - 25 cm, and mother nature did not disappoint!

So my card for today's here at One Crazy Stamper blog was inspired by it....

First off I must say that you should never heat emboss and then color with your Copics, as the two seem to not really like each other (guess who will be replacing a few Copic nibs in the near future).  Oh well, lesson learned and I'm passing it on to all of my followers.  Now, back to the card - the image is High Hopes Rubber Stamps Winter Wonderland U-013.  I stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed it with a white embossing powder, and then I colored it.  Excuse the streaky sky - I was going for the northern lights and really messed it up when the reaction occurred - sigh!  After coloring the image, I once again stamped with Versamark( thank goodness for the MISTI) and added more white embossing powder.  The next time I think I'll stamp the image with a light color, color it with my Copics, and then heat embossed the white over the finished product.

Copics - B12, B02, B26, B24, B00, B66, 0, G14, G02, YG13, G29, G94, C1
