Zoe's Purrfect Day

I have a few cat lovers in my life who sometimes need a pick me up card sent just so they know I am thinking of them.

Miss Zoe and her cute kitten are perfect for this type of card!

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white border. I added it to the matching card stock and cut around the stamp again. I decided to use some patterned paper that had kind of a country feel to it, I thought it was perfect for this card. The sentiment was stamped directly on to the patterned paper - love my Misti! and some matching gumdrops finish off my card.

Bee's Knees!

Happy Tuesday OCS Fans!
Tuesdays mean I am over on the High Hopes And One Crazy Stamper Blogs sharing this cute bear with you! This cutie is called "Buzzin' By Bear"!
I found a SVG file in the Silhouette Design Shop in the shape of a bee hive and made it into a card base for my Bear. I used some paper from the Echo Park Fine & Dandy 6x6 collection that matches perfectly! I fussy cut out some of the little bees and popped thump with foam tape!
The "Bees Knees" sentiment from High Hope Stamps matches my theme perfectly!
I popped "Buzzin' By Bear" up on an action wobble for a fun interactive element!
Here you can see the wobble in action !

Hoping Your Day is as Special as you are!

Welcome OCS Fans;

Well it seems that we have had a very short Spring and now are into the first hot weekend, even though it isn't officially summer yet.

Seeing mother nature at its' best is one of my favourite things during the spring and summer; especially the colourful hummingbirds.  Today's card can be used as a birthday card or one of those you want to send as "Just Because".

After colouring the Hummingbird (High Hopes Stamps) using copic markers, I added some Silver Moonlight Nuvo Glitter Drops to the edge of the wing and tail.  I just added it as a thin layer to add a bit of glitter.  On the leaves I added some Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.  Yes, I am addicted to the Nuvo products -- they are so versatile.  I wet the outside edge of the Mulberry Paper with water and did a gentle tear all around to give a bit of a ragged look.

Home Tweet Home

It seems like Spring has finally arrived! One of my favourite things about Spring is when the birds come back into the neighbourhood.
I have a tree in one of my flower beds that often becomes the home for a nest and some baby birds. It is fun to watch the Mom feed to the babies and to watch the babies as they learn to fly.

The Fancy Birdhouse 1 stamp reminded me of this fun part of Spring and I added the Landing Birdie as she seems to be coming home.

I coloured the stamps with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut them. Next I cut my doily and circle and added some clouds using a cloud die, dauber and ink. Then it was on to my computer to create my sentiment, print it and cut it out using the matching circle and doily dies. Some ribbon and gumdrops finish off my card.

Tropical Santa!

Hello OCS Fans!
Everybody deserves a little R&R especially Santa after a busy Christmas season! "Tropical Santa" from High Hopes is doing just that! I think he's even got a bit of a tan!
I decided to use paper from the American Crafts "Sunny" 6x6 collection. I got my Sketch idea from "Lili of the Valley Sketches". There are lots of wonderful 6x6 sketches over there to choose from. I added the HH "Just Arrived" sentiment to show that "Tropical Santa" just arrived for his much needed vacation.
On the inside I created the sentiment on my computer. I am using a Ring Frame die on the inside with more of the Designer Papers. I used some of the circle cutout on the front of my card. I always try to use up my "scraps" when I can!

I created a  twig style wreath and set the Spring image inside.  Used a burlap style ribbon
with a fun carrot print and some tiny yellow flowers too. The image is coloured with Copic Markers and the background paper has a rustic wood look which I though went well with the image.

I added some Crystal Stickles to her hair band, flower and painted hearts. The MFT Eiffel Tower die was the perfect addition to my themed card!
On the decorated inside I added the HH Sentiment called "You Make Me Smile".

Happy Anniversary

At the end of April my parents celebrated their 50th Anniversary. My siblings and I planned lots of surprises for them throughout the day including pink flamingos in their front yard! They have received their card so I can share it now <smile>

One of my tasks was to create their card. I wanted to include flowers and one of Mom's favourite colours - purple. I also wanted to include something for my Dad which is where the wood comes in. Since his retirement he has been dabbling in wood working so the wood paper is perfect to include him.

The inside included a special note from all their "Kids" which they loved.

I wanted to use the flowers on the With Deepest Sympathy stamp but the sentiment didn't fit. I grabbed my post it notes and strategically masked off the sentiment and stamped the flowers. The sentiment was another test in masking and placement as it is actually a long sentiment not stacked like I have done it.
I sooo love my Misti!

After holding my breath and stamping, I coloured the flowers with alcohol markers and cut it out. I added some stickles to not only the balls around the flowers but also in some of the white space around the stamp.
Some wood paper in the background, inked edges and some twine finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: With Deepest Sympathy -  High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Happy Aniversary - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Sage and Grace - Kaisercraft

Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Misti, London Fog ink - Memento, Crystal Stickles, twine - American Crafts

Spectrum Noir Markers: LV1 PL2 PL4 CG1 DG2 DG4 CT1 AB1 IG1
