Happy Fall -- High Hopes Stamps

Happy Friday! We made it through another week! Well... for me that was easy as I'm on vacation right now!
Fall is just around the corner and with that in mind I decided to create a Thanksgiving card.  I love  using traditional Fall colours as it's always such an easy colour combo to work with.

Creation was made using ...
The card base is a side step  easel  and the background is created with a burlap paper for some texture. The image was  coloured with Copic Markers, glossy accents and some plaid ribbon for added Fall fun!

I decided to only use a  small portion of the sentiment/ Fall greeting which actually reads "have a blessed season filled with apple cider, hay rides, pumpkin .... and so on! I can see changing it up and really getting a lot of use from this stamp :)

Thanks for peeking! Wishing you a great Weekend. Hope you get crafty and create some Fall and Halloween designs! I would love to see your creations in our Current challenge found here!

Thanksgiving Recipe

Happy August OCS fans! This month the design team will be featuring Fall/Halloween Stamps from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

Fall is my favourite time of my year. I love the cooler temperatures and the gorgeous colours of the leaves changing colours.

Fall is also when we celebrate Thanksgiving and today my card, featuring "Chef Pierre", is all about Thanksgiving. I went with some non-traditional fall colours on this one!

After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers I fussy cut him out. The "sentiment" was created on my computer. I added some silver and white ribbon, silver magic mesh and some gumdrops to finish it off. Silver Wink of Stella gave his buttons and the turkey platter a little bit of sparkle.
I used some very non-traditional fall colours on this one but I wanted to stay with my red and grey colour scheme.

Stackable Santa -- High Hopes Stamps

Hi there, I'm back again to share a card and wish you a happy Friday!
I created a snowy scene using ...
The image is coloured with Copic Markers and Liquid Applique was applied to Santa's beard and clothing.
I love the look of Liquid Applique and how it puffs up when heated. It's something new for me and I'm hooked!

A bell was hot glued to the twine, along with a touch of acrylic paint.
Two embossing folders were used to help create a snowy scene. The hill was hand cut and Santa is pop dotted for extra dimension.   A friend of mine gave me the Merry Christmas Die cut which I LOVE (thank you J)! I added a bit of glitter and slightly curved the words almost like Santa is holding the  greetng.
 Here's the markers I used ....
Thanks for peeking!
Have a crafty Weekend!

Catching Flakes

Happy Wednesday High Hopes Fans!
I can't believe it is almost the end of July already! Where has the month gone?!

We are in the middle of a heat wave as I write this post. Temps are in the upper 30's with a humid feels like of close to 40 degrees. Making Christmas/winter cards in this kind of weather helps cool me down! lol

Today's card features "Catching Flakes" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. This stamp brought back fun memories of standing out in the snow with those big wet flakes gently falling down and seeing how many we could catch on our tongue.

Close Up

After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers I used a stitched rectangle die to cut it out. I added some Stickles to the snow to give it some shine. I coloured the tree and added some Stickles to it after fussy cutting it out. The snow bank is cut with a die and it is the perfect spot for the sentiment. The paper is from Carta Bella and I added a few snow flakes to finish of my card.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Catching Flakes (Q017) High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Lg. Snowy Pine (R033) - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Winter Wonderland (H230) - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Heartley Framed Snowman - High Hopes

We've made it to Friday and I'm super excited to share my Snowman card today :)

A snowflake embossing folder was used to make a Wintery frame, and a little bit of
Pink acrylic paint was lightly sponged onto the card along with a hot pink button for an added touch of fun!
