YNS – Flourish in Life, Hero Arts, Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly

Hi all, Madge here for another Wonderful Wednesday at OCS.  Have you noticed that Lora has a SALE.  Oh my,  so many bargains!P1010680 copy

Today I’ve chosen a Hero Arts “Floral Wreath” Stamp and embossing die set, which I notice that Lora does not have in stock right now.  I stamped the image in Champagne VersaMark, embossed it with white EP, and fussy cut the center. I used a Stylus Blending Tool to blend Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Dried Marigold, Faded Jeans, Rusty Hinge and Shabby Shutter) onto the White cardstock, rubbing off the excess with a kleenex. I stamped the YNS sentiment stamp from Humming-Bird Beauty in black on pale blue cardstock and pop dotted the embossed image over top.  The lace rectangle is a MS round the border punch and the Butterfly is a Memory Box die cut called Vivienne.

Hope you will enter the OCS challenge for the month of October which is Kraft, Black and Red.

Remember, Stamp up a Storm, Ink up a Wish and send it on to someone to brighten their day!

Searching........

It's the last Tuesday of the month - ALREADY!!!! Where did the month go?!!
Since it's the last Tuesday it must be time to do the Terrific Tuesday post for One Crazy Stamper and for today's card I've combined three High Hopes Stamps to make one cute card.
This is "Little Sleuth" and "Watson", which were both stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and then colored with Copics. I then fussy cut the images, and popped them up on the card front that was embossed with the Crafts Too Bone and Pawprint Folder, and lightly inked with Rich Cocoa Memento ink. The faux stitches were done with a red Copic Sketch marker, and the Tracking sentiment is also from High Hopes ( the inside of the card has the remaining sentiment - Your Birthday ).

Vegans Rock – CA for Whimsy Stamps

Hi all, Madge here – so it must be Wednesday!!  And a gorgeous and sunny Wednesday it will be here overlooking the lake.   I’ve chosen to use a Whimsy Stamp from the Chrissie Armstrong Collection.  It will be pumpkin pie season very shortly. P1120524 copyHMMmm  one of my favorites.  This image is called “Vegans Rock”, which it has on it’s apron.  I paperpierced the apron and the hat.  No one in this house is Vegan, however I do have a couple of friends that are Vegan.  Maybe the card will make it’s way to their home.

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, onto XPress it Blend cardstock, and then colored with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced the apron and hat, and popped the ole’ turkey onto pop dots.

Snoesjes - Snoes with Dog

Hi All

It is a gorgeous sunny Sunday here, even though it is a bit cool, there is no doubt that Fall is definitely coming. For my post today for One Crazy Stamper, I have used a Marianne Design stamp called Snoesjes - Snoes with Dog.

As there are so many techniques and new products available; I have decided that at least once a month, possibly more that I will  try a new technique or add something different to the cards.

For this card, I used  a new cut, emboss and embroidery die that Lora has in stock at OCS; and am really quite pleased with how the it turned out.  It is cut and embossed in the usual way using one of the thin metal adapter plates.  The holes didn't need any extra pricking and I used red and green Sulky thread to embroider.

Supplies used:
There is still plenty of time to enter this month's Red, Black and Kraft challenge for a chance to win a prize from One Crazy Stamper.  Also, don't forget to check out Lora's store One Crazy Stamper for some great deals and the amazing new products that are arriving daily.

High Hopes BBQ Dragon

Hi All!

I love, love, love this high hopes dragon.  I find myself reaching for him all the time.  He is my go to little guy for guy cards.  His name is Flame Broilin!  Isn't that the cutest name!  As always I used my memento tuxedo black ink.  love, love this stuff.  It is my go to black ink!

I also used some clearsnaps smooches paint to paint the glitter on his apron and hat.  It adds just a little something extra.  I had some wooden buttons in my stash and wanted to add something to the edges.  I finished those off with some twine.

Hi all, Madge here for another Wonderful Wednesday for OCSP1120517 copyToday I’ve used a Whimsy Stamp called Dandelion Girl, available at OCS.  We did this very effective stamping technique at our Stamper’s 10 group, courtesy of our very talented SU demo.  It is a Quick, Easy and Effective way to use a variety of stamps.  My format is for a 5 1/2” square card, but it can be adjusted for any size format.

Materials used:  Ranger, Archival Black ink; Xpress It blend cardstock; Copic Markers; colored cardstock, ribbon and punch from stash.

Hope you will join in on the September Challenge at One Crazy Stamper.  (Kraft, Black and Red).

Shiver Me Timbers!!!

Here's another card that fits this month's challenge theme of Kraft, Red and Black.  This is High Hopes "The Thundering Rogue" available here at OCS.

I stamped the image with Versa Mark embossing ink and used black embossing powder to heat emboss the image.  Using only three colors of Prismacolor pencils ( black , crimson red, and light umber ), and Gamsol with Tortillons I colored and blended out the colors to give shadows and highlights.  The sentiment is from an older Kraftin' Kimmie sentiment set, and to finish off the edges on the card front I used Tim Holtz's Black Soot Distress Ink Pad.

Watering Can

This card for One Crazy Stamper features an image by Impression-Obsession called Watering Can.
I colored the image with Copic Markers:  R39, R37, R46, YR09, YR04, YG67, YG63, YG61, BG10, YR15, Y38, Y35, W5, W3, W0, E59, E57, E44, E43, E42.

I distressed the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and added photo corner punches accented with Tim's tiny mini brads.  Designer paper is from Simple Stories' Year.O.Graphy collection.

OCS Birthday celebration!

Did you know that OCS will be celebrating it’s 1st anniversary of opening the brick and mortar store?!  Yep, Sept 8 and we will be celebrating here on the blog with LOTS of prizes!!!
So with  OCS bday in mind, I made this card. Again I used Distress Inks…I really love these things. I have a pretty limited number of ink pads, about 8 but the depth of color that can be achieved from just one color is wonderful.   My image is from CC Designs and papers are from My Mind’s Eye, a great combo right?
