It's Sue here for another great Sunday and as Christmas Eve is almost here, I used this adorable stamp called Chloe's Little Light designed by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps. The first picture is the outside of the card while the second one is the inside of the card.
Supplies used:
- Stamps: Chloe's Little Light and the sentiment is from Holiday Cards Notables 4 both from Whimsy Stamps
- Ink: Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
- Paper: X-Press It Blending Cardstock, DP - Father Christmas (BoBunny from last year)
- Die: Notables 4 (Whimsy Dies)
- Copic Markers: Skin- E0004, E000, R20; Hair - E25, E31, E50; Night Gown - E40, E81, E41; Mistletoe - G46, YG17, R29; Bows 0 R29, R46; Dog - E25, Y28, R46; Light - YR20, Y21; Stairs - E42, E40
- Atyou Spica Glitter Pen: 03 - Red
- Miscellaneous: Ribbon and flower
I used green, red and white cardstock as well as Father Christmas patterned paper from BoBunny. The paper was cut to the following sizes:
- Green cardstock - 2 pieces -- 8 1/2" x 5 3/8" and 4 3/8" x 4 3/8"
- Red cardstock - 3 pieces -- 4 1/2" x 9", 5 3/8' x 5 3/8" and 5 3/8" x 2 7/8"
- White cardstock - 1 piece -- 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
- Patterned Paper -- 6 pieces -- 4 1/4" x 4 1/4", 2 3/4" x 5 1/4", 5 1/4" x 5 1/4", 5 3/8" x 2 7/8", and 2 pieces each of 4 3/8" x 4 3/8"
Step 2: Starting with the inside of the green cardstock add the piece of 5 1/4" x 2 3/4" patterned paper to the smaller side. On the larger side first add the 5 3/8" x 5 3/8" red cardstock and then the 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" piece of patterned paper.
Step 3: Decorate the inside of the red cardstock with patterned paper 4 3/8" x 4 3/8" on each side. On the left side add the piece of white cardstock 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" for a personal message and a sentiment on the right side.
Step 4: To decorate the front of the card, adhere a green layered cardstock 4 3/8" x 4 3/8" with a piece of patterned paper 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" to the square piece and a red cardstock piece 5 3/8" x 2 7/8" and patterned paper 5 3/8" x 2 7/8" to the smaller side. Before adhering all the layers of paper I added a piece of ribbon.
Step 5: Now that all the cardstock and patterned paper layers have been completed the rest of the card can be finished in the usual manner and add whatever embellishements you desire to.
There is still a few days left to enter this month's challenge for a change to win a prize from One Crazy Stamper.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. See you next week.
