Merry Christmas!

Welcome Everyone;

For today's post, I have another Christmas card using the adorable Snowbear Friends, from High Hopes Stamps latest release "Woodsy Christmas"

Christmas Penguins

I have been playing around with some non traditional colours for my Christmas cards lately and this week is no exception.

These cute penguins got the "no peeking, poking, shaking" memo a little late I think! It was so hard as a child to resist the temptation to pick up the presents from under tree wasn't it?! If we got caught we got in some major trouble so I would sit and look at the presents instead and try to guess.
Truthfully, I find it just as tempting as an adult!

I coloured my stamp with alcohol markers and cut it out using a hand stitched rectangle die. I added some fun polka dots to one of the hats just for fun and some pom poms with just a hint of silver in them. I was going to re stamp my sentiment because it isn't 100% straight but given what the sentiment is, I left a little crooked because it fits the card theme.
I added this to an older collection of patterned paper from Bo Bunny. Some matching white and silver ribbon and sliver glitter enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Christmas Penguins - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Peeking Poking Shaking - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Altitude Collection - Bo Bunny

Greatest Gifts

Christmas is quickly approaching - the time to share memories with family and friends, and my card  today celebrates the season!

This sweet image is from High Hopes Rubber stamps newest release Woodsy Christmas and is called Christmas Penguins.  I have colored the image with Copics and added white highlights with a Sakura white glaze pen.  The image was mounted on Photo Play's Mad 4 Plaid Christmas paper from last year.  The sentiment is also from High Hopes Rubber Stamps and can be found here.

Wishing You Holiday Cheer!

Hello OCS Fans!
It's my turn to share the "Wreath" from the new "Woodsy Christmas" Release from High Hopes Stamps! I know the Design Team has been sharing this stamp a lot but it's because it's just so pretty!
I tried to do a different take on the stamp by using non-traditional colours. I love the "Little Wonders " 6x6 collection by Bo Bunny and thought I would try to match my Wreath colours to the paper. So as you can see, very non-traditional pink and blue! I coloured the image with my Copic Markers and then used my Brother Cut N Scan to fussy cut out the image! It's hard to see in the picture but the berries have Stickles on them and all the pink and beige leaves have Spectrum Noir Glitter pen added to them. I decided to use the sentiment called "Holiday All Year" on the front of my card!
On the inside I used the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from the "Woodsy Christmas" Release.

Best Fishes

Seems like Santa has been getting some R and R and doing some ice fishing before his big day!

I have a few people on my card giving list that love fishing! They sleep and dream in fishing and yes, ice fishing included.
"Fishing Santa" paired with the "Best Fishies" sentiment is perfect combo for the person who loves fishing on your card giving list! This card is made for a gentleman so my challenge was to keep it masculine and Christmasy all at the same time.

After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers and a touch of Prisma pencil, I hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white edge. I added some stickles - not too sparkly or colourful to his hat and set him aside to dry. I coloured his buttons and the reel on the fishing rod with a silver gel pen - gotta get a bit of sparkle in there for Christmas right?!
Paper from Echo Park's Celebrate Winter collection was perfect for my masculine theme. The sentiment comes as one large sentiment so I masked it and stamped it separately just for fun.
A touch of a fish net die cut and some matching sparkly gumdrops finish off my card.

I'll be Gnome for Christmas

Welcome Everyone;

This is the first week for my self challenge, I used the cute Cocoa Gnome from High Hopes Stamps latest release called "Woodsy Christmas" and some foil.  It certainly didn't go as  planned.  I used the Gina K Holiday Flora and foiled it twice; once with a piece of Sparkling Silver and again with some green foil.  I then took the negative and put it over the opposite colour.

Upon reflection, I would have just used a couple of strips, and that is what I will try the next time I do this.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Cocoa Gnome, Gnome for Christmas (Woodsy Christmas Release -- High Hopes Stamps)
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP - Photoplay Mod Plaid Christmas
  • Copic Markers:  E0000 - Floral White, E000 - Pale Fruit Pink, E00 - Skin White, W00 -Warm Gray No. 00, W0 - Warm Gray No. 0, W1 - Warm Gray No. 1, N0 - Neutral Gray No. 0, E31 - Brick Beige, E33 - Sand, E35 - Chamois, E25 - Caribe Cocoa, E27 - Africano, E29 - Burnt Umber, G46 - Mistletoe, G43 - Pistachio, R27 - Cadmium Red, R29 - Lipstick Red
  • Stickles:  Xmas Red
  • Nuvo Glitter Drops:  White Blizzard
  • Zig Wink of Stella - Clear

Christmas Wreath

I don't know about your neighbourhood but some of my neighbours have started putting up their Christmas decorations.
This week my card was inspired by the outdoor decorations I see going up. There are a lot of people who are putting up lights, blow up a characters and wreaths on their door or on the brick above their garage door.

Inspired by the wreath on the brick look, I decided to design my card with that in mind. For me this is a CAS card design and I have used some non traditional colours for this gorgeous wreath from the High Hopes Rubber Stamps Woodsy Christmas new release. I had to sit on my hands, I find the CAS style quite challenging!

The stamp is coloured with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut leaving a thin white line. I set it aside and cut a piece of white card stock to the size I needed. I taped it down with painters tape and then placed the brick pattern stencil over top and taped down the corners. London Fog ink was perfect for my brick colour as I wanted it to be kind of subtle so the wreath is the focus.
Originally, I was going to pop the wreath up on pop dots so I added a silver glitter heart with a piece of thread in the middle. The heart kept sitting sideways so I ended up just gluing everything down. I put my cardstock into my Misti and stamped my sentiment (after I masked off the exclamation mark) and added a silver glitter heart beside it.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Wreath - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Merry Christmas - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Misti, silver Wink Of Stella, silver glitter paper, brick stencil - Whimsy Stamps, London Fog ink - Memento

Spectrum Markers: BT4 BT5 BT9 CR1 CR3 EB6

I'll Be Home for Christmas!

Wednesday's roll around way too fast for me - but maybe that's because I spend so much time with the three grand babies - hmmmmm!  Anyhow, it's Wednesday again so that means it's time for me to share another sweet image from High Hopes Rubber Stamps newest collection Woodsy Christmas!

This is Cocoa Gnome that I have colored with Copic markers, then added highlights of Sakura white Glaze pen and Viva Decor pearl dots.  The colors of the image match the paper perfectly, which is an older paper from my stash.  A sentiment also from High Hopes Rubber Stamps completes the card!

Card Recipe - E01, E11, E13, E33, E35, E37, R22, R27, R81, R83, R85, B0000, C0, C1, C2, 0, RV34, G40, G43, G46, BG10, BG11, BG13

Penguin Wishes!

Hello HH Fans!
It's Tuesday!!!!! And that means I'm sharing an adorable card using the "Penguin Tag" from High Hopes Stamps! This little penguin is just so cute and the image comes blank so you can add whatever you'd like on the center of the tag!
I decided to use the HH "Merry Christmas" sentiment from the new "Woodsy Christmas" release. I stamped and coloured my image using Copic Sketch markers and then cut him out using a Postage Stamp die. My papers are from a company new to me called LDRS Ctreative. This collection is called "Holly Jolly Christmas". A ribbon with a bow, Crystal Stickles and enamel dots finish off my card today.
I used the HH Sentiment called "Magic of Christmas" and some more designer papers on the inside.
Copics Used:

R24, R27, R29, YG95, YG97

Happy Holidays

Welcome Everyone;

I hope you all have had a good week and that the everyday events that happen, haven't driven you crazy.

For today's post, I have used Snowmen Stocking from High Hopes Stamps latest release called "Woodsy Christmas".

Since redoing my craft room and having supplies not hidden as they were (drawers and supplies are now labelled), I have set a weekly challenge for myself --
  1. to use different colouring mediums as well as
  2. try a new technique
  3. incorporate a different embellishment
The goal is to do or use at least one different thing or item. No doubt I will use some products more then once in a month.  As there are 52 weeks in a year, that is 52 challenges -- hmm -- we shall see how far we get lol.

I stamped the image on a piece of XPress It Blending Cardstock and coloured it with Copic Markers.  A silver snowflake peel off border was used on each side.  Nuvo Crystal Glaze was used to fill the stars, while Nuvo Glitter Drops (White Blizzard) was used for the trim on the stocking and the snowman's hat.  Nuvo Crystal Drops (Gloss Simply White) were used in the corners.

    Supplies used:
    • Stamps:  Snowmen Stocking, Happy Holidays (High Hopes Stamps - Woodsy Christmas Release)
    • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
    • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock, DP - Sugar Plum (My Mind's Eye)

      • E47 - Dark Brown

    Sledding Gnome Fun!

How fun are these sledding gnomes from the Woodsy Christmas new release!
They bring back so many memories of sledding fun from my child hood. We had a huge hill that lead to a ditch that we sledded on. It ended with a "jump" that landed us in the bull rushes, much to my Mom's dismay! My brothers, neighbours and I had many hours of fun!

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut it and added some Stickles to their hats and the sleigh front.
Next I started forming my card base. I used a tutorial from my fellow DT and super talented friend Cheri which she calls a front step easel card. You can find her easy to follow tutorial here
Once my base was cut and scored I added some fun snow banks and trees to the patterned paper and the mountain folds of the base to create my scene.  Some plain and sparkle gumdrops finish off my card.

    Card Recipe
Stamp: Sledding Gnomes - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Dashing Through The Snow - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Northern Lights - Recollections
Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Misti, Twinkle Stickles

    Spectrum Markers: FS1 FS2 TN2 TN4 BT3 BT4 BT5 HB1 LV1 HB2 BO2 BO4 B06 CG1 DG2
10% and 30% Prismacolor pencils for shading

    Miracle

For today's post for One Crazy Stamper I decided to create something a little different.  This card features three different stamp images from different companies but they all came together beautifully.

I started this card by stamping the High Hopes Rubber stamp Forest on to water color paper with Versa Mark embossing ink, and then white embossing powder was applied and heated.  Once that was finished I used Inktense pencils to color the card front.  A sentiment from Crafter's Companion and the Santa and sleigh image from my stash finished off the front.  I added some clear glitter glue to the snow and trees to add some sparkle.

Card Recipe - Inktense pencils -0840 Iron Blue, 0900 Iris Blue, 1510 Beech Green, 1310 Iron Green, 2110 Payne's Grey, 1900 Willow

    Snowman Sled!

    Hello HH & OCS Friends!
I hope this post finds you all well and staying warm! Today I am sharing with you "Snowman Sled" from the new High Hopes release called "Woodsy Christmas".
I decided to go with a black and red theme on today's card. I'm trying to use up some of the papers from my "scrap bin", and I found these that go perfect with my theme!
I stamped and coloured my image with my Copic Markers. I used my Brother Cut N Scan to cut out the image and make a red layer for behind. I added some white gel pen to the little berries and some Spectrum Noir Glitter pen to the sweet bird and the heart. It's hard to see but for all the decorations on the sled I used a red gel pen. It's a simple layout design today to show case "Snowman Sled".
    Copics Used:
    N4, N5, N6, N7, N8
    R35, R37, R39
    YG23, YG25, C1, YR04, YR07

    Happy Stamping!
