Get Ready for Fall!

Hello and Happy Sunday Everyone!

Another month arrives, and with it a new theme. This months’ theme here on the One Crazy Stamper blog is Fall. Come visit daily for new inspiration from the talented Design Team.

My first fall card for you uses one of my favorite stamps in the High Hopes Rubber Stamps inventory. I just can’t resist a sunflower! This great image is Sunflower Smiles.

Have a perfectly lovely Sunday and we'll see you again next week with more great inspiration from the talented team at One Crazy Stamper.

Nuts About You

We have a ton of squirrels that live in my neighbourhood. Each morning there are about 10 - 15 babies that I watch play in my neighbours back yard racing up and around the tree trunks.
Later in the day I see these babies and the adults busy collecting and packing their food for winter hibernation.
Little Nutty Buddy reminds me of these squirrels and I wanted to use him on a card that I can put in my stash for just the right moment when I would like to let someone know in a fun way how important they are to me.

I coloured up this cutie with alcohol markers, added some shading with Prisma pencils and cut him out using a circle die. The tip of his tail had to be cut a little to slide the die in under it to cut it the size I wanted it.
Next I grabbed some paper from Carta Bella and cut it to fit my design. All of the paper edges including the leaves have a touch of umber ink on them to make them pop a little.
Twine from my stash, skeleton leaves and enamel dots finish off my card.

Phew! Happy Harvest!

I have one more Fall/Halloween inspired card to share with you today. I can't believe it's the last day of August already!

"Harvest Harry" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps sure seems happy about harvest being started. He is exhausted! Guarding crops is a tough job! I think he already has his bags packed for vacation!

After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers I fussy cut Harry leaving a thin white border. I added some blue paper behind him after running it through an embossing folder. Paper from Echo Park was perfect for this card. I added some fun wheat and bobbles as an embellishment for something different and fun. The sentiment was created on my computer. A few of my favourite - gumdrops - finish off my card.

Stamps: Harvest Harry (S032), High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Fresh Apple Pie

I hope you are enjoying all the fun Fall/Halloween stamps the design team is sharing this month.

This is "Milton's Fall Harvest". He looks so proud of all his apples! For me this stamp reminded me of all of the fresh, warm apple pie and apple crisp my mom made when we were growing up. She sometimes made apple dumplings too but not too often so they were a special treat for us.

After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers I cut him out using a stitched rectangle die. I added some paper from Jillibean, Carta Bella and some from my stash. I added some texture by running some plain cardstock through an embossing folder and using some burlap ribbon. The sentiment was created on my computer. Milton is popped up with pop dots as there are lots of layers of paper underneath him. A quilled apple from my stash finishes off my card.

Let's Do Lunch?

It's Wednesday and my turn to share some Fall/Halloween inspiration with you.

A sure sign of fall being just around the corner is that sweet corn is in season so I chose to make my card using "We're All Ears and Cawnie and Cawrls Lunch" stamps from High Hopes.

Close Up 2

After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers I fussy cut them out. I used a Cricut cartridge to cut out my cornstalks and ink blending to create my sky background. I wanted the stamp used in the circle to look like you are in the middle of a corn field....great place for lunch don't you think? lol
The sentiment was created on my computer and buttons from my stash and some twine finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamps: We're All Ears (K034), Cawnie and Cawrls Lunch (H153) High Hopes Rubber Stamps
