Think Snow!

Hello OCS Fans!
It's "Christmas in July" over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs! It sure has been fun creating these Christmas cards through the heat wave we've been having LOL! This stamp is called "Let the Snow Begin".....hmmmmm I almost want it to be true just to get a break from the heat. I know, don't complain right.... we had an awful Spring and I really do like the warmer weather.
I am using papers today from the MME Sugar Plum 6x6 collection that I've had for awhile now. I love using non traditional colours for Christmas and these papers fit the bill! I coloured in the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and then using my Brother Cut N Scan cut the image out as well as a cardstock layer to put behind it. Lots of layers and all the paper edges are inked with Vintage Photo Distressed ink for my card design. I used some Stampendous Spoonful of Snow for a fun dimensional and sparkly effect.   Now I know you are supposed to add the "snow" and heat with your heat gun from underneath. Me and glitter don't go so well together and it usually flies all over the place LOL. This time I tried using some Glue Gloss first (looks like a tube of lipgloss) then put the "Snow" on top, pressed it down a bit and then melted it with my heat gun. It worked so much better and I wasn't wearing glitter all weekend LOL.
I used foam tape on my stamped image for added dimension.

Copics Used:
R20, R21, R22, R24
BG13, BG15, BG23
C00, C2, YR04, YR09
B000, B00, B01

Happy Stamping!

Snow Day!

Hello and Happy Sunday!

It's Christmas in July and since we don't have any snow for this occasion, I decided to bring it to you in my weekly project. Check out the adorable Snow Couple Block.

I love that this great stamp could be used both for your Christmas holiday cards and your "happy winter" cards. So many Christmas stamps almost force you to reach for the red...and more red, but this stamp let me play with other colors of the season, and maybe some that aren't so Christmasy.

That's it for me today, but there will be more great inspiration from my Design Team counterparts. Here at One Crazy Stamper, we have new inspiration for your each and every day!

Scrapbook Saturday with Bev using Gabriel Loves Baseball

Welcome OCS Fans;

Hi it's Bev here today ... for Saturday Scrapbook layout projects for One Crazy Stampers using High Hopes Stamps. If you have been visiting me on Saturdays you will see that I am only using stamped images as accents on pages. I try to theme them to photos which makes them a perfect accent. I am hoping I could inspire you to try using your stamps on layout pages too.

For this page I am sharing photos of my 2nd eldest Grand Daughter when she played school baseball. I always touch up with signo white gel pen accents.
There are so many amazing images that make the perfect accents for our themed layout pages. I challenge you to give it a try. This way you can colour them to match your projects.

Supplies Used:
  • Other: Paper, chipboard, Ink roller, stickers, punchinella, white signo gel pen

Christmas Joy

Welcome OCS Fans;

We can't win with the weather, if it isn't freezing cold, it is raining cats and dogs and then there is the never ending heat wave.  As we are currently in the midst of a heat wave, what better way of cool off than by creating Christmas cards in July.

Yes it is 5 months before Christmas, but it is a great time to start the stash that will be needed for when Christmas does arrive.

For today's card I have used Christmas Joy Snowy from High Hopes Stamps.  I usually don't do an inside for the card, but I did this time using the sentiment Sparkle & Cheer also from High Hopes Stamps.

Mooshie's Christmas Kiss

This week's card features the adorable Mooshie and Mudzie.
Mooshie seems to have caught Mudzie by surprise under the mistletoe and has swooped in for a Christmas kiss! This stamp just makes me giggle and will be perfect to bring a smile to someone on my Christmas card giving list.

After colouring Mooshie and Mudzie with alcohol markers and Prisma pencils I hand fussy cut them leaving a this white border. The mistletoe was stamped and cut from the Under the Mistletoe stamp and Stickles were added to the "berries" for a bit of bling.
An oval die was cut to use as the background. Paper from Echo Park was perfect for this stamp as it kind of looks like mistletoe on the paper. The sentiment was stamped and cut to size and mounted on matching cardstock.
Some sparkly ribbon and gumdrops finish off my card.

All Wrapped Up!

Hello OCS Fans!
It's the 3rd week of the "Christmas in July" theme over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs. It sure has been fun making Christmas themed cards and the best part..... I have them to mail this Christmas! Can you say win, win!! This poor Snowman is having a struggle getting his gifts wrapped and I don't think those little birds are helping him at all LOL. Meet "All Wrapped Up" by High Hopes Stamps!
I coloured "All Wrapped Up" with my Copic Sketch markers and fussy cut the image out using my Brother Cut N Scan electronic machine. I decided house papers from the LDRS "Holly Jolly Holidays" 6x6 collection. I love the blue and red combo's and that present paper was perfect for my poor snowman! I paper pieced the presents for a fun look. I added some Liquid Appliqué and Stickles for a dimensional sparkly look.
On the decorated inside I added a scalloped border and the "Candy Cane and Mistletoe" Sentiment also from High Hopes.
Copics Used:

Beary Good Friends

Hi there and I've got another card following One Crazy Stamper's Christmas in July theme.
This fun bear and his penguin pal is P137 Beary Good Friends and I've paired it with the versatile HH002 HO HO HO sentiment.
After colouring the bear with Copics, I added some Copic Blender solution to a loopy cloth and dabbed it down to get a bit more texture to the fur and then finished colouring the remainder of the image.  Cobalt Blue embossing powder was used for the sentiment and some sparkly navy and silver paper for the stars.

Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas

Hello, welcome to another day of inspiration with the One Crazy Stamper crew. This month, we've got a Christmas in July theme happening, helping you get in the mood for all the holiday projects you'll need to have ready in less than six month.

Are you a pre-planning crafter, or a last minute crammer?

Either way, you can find inspiration in this months posts, including my card today with Christmas Pals.

This image is so cute! It's a great traditional holiday image and fits perfectly on the front of an A2 (5.5" x 4.25") card, with room for a sentiment. I've used Bold Merry Christmas on my card. The quality red rubber stamps perfectly on the first try.

Thanks for checking us out today. Come back tomorrow, and every day, for new inspiration from the One Crazy Stamper team!
