Happy Trick or Treating

My card features the oh so cute Angel Bear Clown from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Personally, I don't remember seeing any costumes this cute when we were trick or treating but I do remember the boys in the neighbourhood trying to scare the girls with horror type costumes and stories of haunted houses on our trick or treating path. These memories helped with my card theme....the spooky house.... eeekk!!!!

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and pencils for shading I fussy cut him out. I set him aside and created my background. This is an acetate front card so the spooky house scene is on the inside of my card base. I added some matching ghost paper to the top and bottom of my acetate help give the card some strength. The sentiment was stamped and cut out with a stitched banner die and added to the front. A few simple enamel dots finish off my card.

Happy Trick Or Treating

Happy Wednesday OCS fans! This week I have one more not too spooky Halloween card to share with you.

My card features "Elvira's Kitty In Training", part of the Trick or Treat Greeting sentiment and the cat paw print from the Cat and Dog Paws set all from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I'm not sure what trick or spell Elvira is trying to teach her kitty  - gulp!

I coloured my stamp with alcohol markers and cut it out with a stitched rectangle die. I cut my patterned paper layers out of a 6x6 pad from American Crafts. I had some fun Halloween confetti in my stash so I added some in a somewhat random pattern .. like they are weaving a spell. I masked off the part of the sentiment I wanted and stamped it using my Misti - love my Misti!
Some ribbon and a paw print embellishment finish off my card.

Boo-tiful Day

Halloween is a spooky, sometimes creepy time of year but these cuties from High Hopes are more cute then scary aren't they?!

Meet Boo Pals - how fun are these three! I decided to pair them with some more non-traditional Halloween coloured papers just for fun.

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white edge. I glued it down on some black card stock and cut it out leaving a thin black cardstock line to help it stand off the card.
The stamp is popped up using 3D foam squares to keep it above the twine I put behind it. Some super cute die cut ghosts and black gumdrops finish off my card.

Free Broom Rides

Halloween is just around the corner. Plans are being made for witches and ghosts and ghouls to come out of the wood work for trick or treating. It is a spooky time of year but this cute witch from High Hopes is having some fun with it all and offering some free broom rides!

After colouring this cutie with alcohol markers, I cut her out using a circle die. I had to cut part of her hat and broom first as my die wasn't big enough to to around them.
Next I cut a piece of orange cardstock and stamped it with the new spider background. It wasn't quite as wide as my piece of paper so there was some overlap in the webs... hidden now by the sentiment and twine <wink>
Some creepy spiders, a broom from my stash and a few matching gumdrops finish off my card.

Wanna Hang Out?

Happy Wednesday OCS Fans!

I had a little bit of fun with my card this week. I challenged myself...to use tissue paper and material instead of patterned paper. It was an interesting experiment!

I used "Just Hanging Out and Bat" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

Close Up

After colouring the stamps with alcohol markers I fussy cut them out. I went one step further with my fussy cutting and cut out our cute vampire's cape. I added some pale orange and silver material from a Halloween bag I found. Sparkle was also added to the bats just for fun.
I used some white tissue paper I received with a gift - I wanted a used piece so I had some texture. I very carefully! stamped my cob web and fence and glued it onto the back of the black frame I made out of cardstock. I used some orange and black patterned paper to create a second frame and mounted it to black cardstock. The sentiment was created on my computer and voila! A few orange gumdrops finish off my card.

Ghost Trio!

BOO!
Who could ever be scared of these adorable ghosts? Ghosts have to be my favourite Halloween image and these guys are just the sweetest! On my card today I am using the High Hopes stamp called "Ghost Trio".
The Doodlebug October 31st collection goes perfectly with this stamp. I just love the candy corn paper as it matches with the candy corn the ghosts are collecting! to finish off my card I put Distress ink in Black Soot on all the edges of my papers and some Diamond Stickles on their little noses.
On the inside I used the High Hopes sentiment called "Trick or Treat Greetings".
Copics Used:
Ghosts: C1, YR04, R00
Basket: C1, C2, C3, C5
Fence: E43, E44, E47
Grass: YG01, YG05, YG07
Candy corn: YR04, Y35

Vampire Treats!

Happy Saturday OCS Friends!
Wow where did September go? I can't believe it's October already! With that being said, Halloween is right around the corner and who wouldn't love to get this adorable Halloween card! For my card today I am using the High Hopes Stamps "Vampire Treats" stamp.
I made a pop up card this time using the Elizabeth Crafts Design Lucy Label Pop Up die to make the card base. Then using my Design paper I decorated the card. I stamped some extra bats from the image and also stamped a larger High Hopes stamp called "Bat" to add to the little pop up box. All the red bats have clear Wink of Stella on them and after adding some die cuts and enamel dots my card was complete!
This is the front of the card. I added another High Hopes stamp called "Bat", some YNS Halloween Divine Twine and a little pumpkin button. The 31 is cut out of MME Happy Haunting 12x12 paper that I had in my stash.
I used the sentiment "Frightfully Delightful" from High Hopes as well.

Don't forget to enter into our current Challenge called "Christmas/ Halloween/ Fall". I can't wait to see what you create!

Happy Crafting!
