Sweet Heart Owls...

Welcome OCS Fans;

It is time to start building up a stash of general everyday and every occasion type of cards.  As my daughter's wedding anniversary is coming up, I thought I would start with an anniversary card.

For today's card, I used the adorable Sweet Heart Owls from High Hopes Stamps. After stamping the image, I coloured it with Spectrum Noir Pencils. The heart in the upper corner is a wooden shape, that I coloured with Nuvo Persian Red Embellishment Mousse.  I then added some rhinestones to finish it off.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Sweet Heart Owls, Happy Anniversary (High Hopes Stamps)
  • Ink:  Staz-on Jet Black
  • Paper: Neenah Classic Crest White, DP -- Romance (Whimsy Stamps) -- I don't think it is in stock any more
  • Spectrum Noir Pencils:
    • Essentials Set:  015, 020, 003, 004, 005, 009, 089, 091, 095

    • Primaries Set: 024, 066

Callie Christmas Kitty & Mischief

Welcome Everyone;

With Christmas just around the corner, it was time to put up the tree.  Well, we did but we definitely had some help from Taz the mischeivous kitten.  He is a character and Callie Christmas Kitty reminds me of what he gets up to.  Never a dull moment with him around.

After stamping the image on Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock with Staz-On Ink, I coloured it with Spectrum Noir Pencils.  Some Nuvo Crystal Glaze was added to the ornaments, and Nuvo Crystal Drops were used to create some enamel drops.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps: Callie Christmas Kitty, Merry Christmas (High Hopes Stamps)
  • Ink:  Staz-On Jet Black
  • Paper:  Neenah Classic White, DP - Holiday Joy (Your Next Stamp), 'Twas the Nigh Before Christmas Vol. 1 (Echo Park)
  • Spectrum Noir Pencils
    • Essentials Set -- 009, 020, 091, 103, 112
    • Nature Set -- 048, 051, 054
    • Primaries Set -- 066, 107, 024, 061
  • Spellbinders Die
  • Nuvo Crystal Glaze
  • Nuvo Jewel Drops: Gloss Simply White

That's what friends are for....

Welcome back for another crazy week and I mean it is crazy.  Christmas is 5 days away and I for one am not ready at all; shopping still to do, presents to wrap, the house is a mess and it goes on.  The good thing is that the dryer is finally fixed after three weeks, but the dishwasher now needs fixing as it has a mysterious error message.  Oh the trials of going crazy.

Anyway for my post today here at OCS, I have used the adorable stamp called "Seeds of Friendship" from the latest release of High Hopes Stamps called Woodland Friends.  I added some Flower Soft to the rabbits' tails and used Snow Writer to add some snow.

Supplies used:
There is still plenty of time to enter this month's challenge "Always Friends", for a chance to win 2 unmounted High Hopes Stamps of your choice.

If you need any supplies or have a wish list for Santa, do visit Lora's OCS store very soon for some great products and amazing prices.  I'm sure Santa would love to help.

Until next time Merry Christmas and enjoy your time with family and loved ones.

Hang Ten Dude!

Hello crafty friends! The other day my sister and I were talking about moving to Hawaii and becoming hula dancers after seeing Polynesian dancers at the Port Credit water festival. So this is my Polynesian inspired surfer dude. I ripped and layered dp to create the water, then popped up the layers. I also paper pieced the surf board and added wink of stella to the wave.

Peony Posey

Hi Fellow Crafters,

April, is certainly passing quickly and with it we are definitely into Spring with April Showers which will bring May Flowers.

For my post today here at OCS, I have used the new Peony Posey stamp from IndigoBlu.  I used the Spectrum Noir pencils to colour the flowers and then went over them with the Clear Wink of Stella to add a bit of glitter.  Before cutting the photo corners some Stick It Adhesive was added to the back of the cardstock.  This adhesive is great for dies where glue doesn't work as well.

Supplies used:
You still have some time to enter this month's "Anything Goes" challenge for a chance to win a prize pack from OCS.   For any supplies that you need check out Lora's OCS online and the brick and mortar stores.  New products are arriving daily and the prices are amazing.

Selfie!

Hello crafty peeps, today I'm keeping it CAS. This type of card is hard for me because I love embellishments, but I really do like how CAS cards look. So heres mine... and instead of using design paper I used embossing paste and stencilled with my new mixed media dies.

For my post today, I have used the adorable Favourite Honey Bear.  I coloured the image with the Spectrum Noir Pencils, added Ranger Distress Ink to the image.  I hand wrote the sentiment as I didn't have a suitable sentiment.  The hearts were coloured with a red Stella of Wink, and the clear was used for the honey and flower centers. The mesh was from my stash.

Sending Special 'Tweets"!!!!

Hi All;

It is Inspirational Month here at OCS, and for today's post I have used this adorable stamp set called Dynamic Duo (Your Next Stamp) and the Accordian Oval Card Die Set and Oval Flourish Frame Edges from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The edges were used to decorate the two panels of the card.

This is what the card looks like when it is opened up.

This is the front of the card when it is closed.

This was the first time that I had use these dies and they are kind of neat for the pop up effects. I still need to work at them, and the adhesive that I used didn't seem to adhe very well.

Supplies used:
Stop by Lora's store for any supplies that you might need or would like/want.  I hope you have gotten some inspiration and be happy crafting something creative.  Until next time happy crafting.
