Eyes on the Prize!

Today's card for One Crazy Stamper features two of my favorite images.  Both were colored with Inktense Pencils and water brushes.  I can just imagine the two of them getting in to all kinds of trouble.

This is High Hopes Rubber Stamps Little Sleuth ( R205) and his sidekick Watson (M100).  Both were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on to water color paper, and then colored with Inktense pencils.

Card Recipe -
Inktense Pencils
Baked Earth 1800, Leaf Green 1600, Dark Chocolate 1930, Mustard 1700, Navy Blue 0830, Willow 1900, Saddle Brown 1740

Have a great day and be sure to check out the amazing projects all of the design team are sharing on this blog.

No Clue

This week I am having some fun with Little Sleuth and Watson from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
I don't know why but these stamps both make me giggle. Today we find our friends looking at the list of clues to try to figure out what event they will be celebrating. Watson has his nose on the gifts....I think he thinks the gifts will be for him and contain treats!

After colouring the stamps with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut them and ran a black Memento marker around the edge to fix any white I had left. I had some fun on my computer coming up with a list of clues and then printed them on lined paper in a light grey. I wanted them to feel mysterious which is why I printed them in grey. I used a letter edge die to make the list look like it had been ripped off a pad of paper.
After cutting my patterned paper to size I stamped some confetti on one - again in light grey and it adds to the clues.
The sentiment comes as one sentiment in two lines but I masked off each line and stamped them separately. Some simple gumdrops finish off my card.

Take Time

I love this time of year! My flowers are blooming and I just had my first rose open - love my roses!!!
Our adorable friend "Watson" from High Hopes is reminding us to take time to stop and smell the flowers.....or in my case roses <smile> I'm not sure if I would do it with my butt up in the air but hey, we all have our own way of doing things right?

I started by stamping and colouring my images with alcohol markers and fussy cutting it - I have now officially broken a second pair of cuticle scissors - I think I do too much fussy cutting? lol. After cutting Watson out, I set him aside and pulled out some inks to make an ink blended background. I used a stitched square die to cut out my background piece and taped down my circle die to create my ink blended background. A black pen was run around the inside of the die to "contain" the blending.  The sentiment was stamped using my Misti - love my Misti! The Prima flowers were perfect for my layout and some Nuvo glitter drops were the perfect thing to add a bit of bling. The card is finished off using some sparkly gumdrops in the corners - I am just getting used to the Nuvo drops and didn't want to chance ruining my card...still practicing <wink>
