Snowflake Season

For my One Crazy Stamper card today I have combined a couple of different images.  This card includes the adorable Winter Moose image as well as the Forest image.

The entire card was colored with Copic markers including the sky, which is a technique I am working hard on getting right.  The snowflakes were made with a Sakura white glaze pen.

Oh the Weather Outside is .....

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
Since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn't show signs of stoppin'
And I've brought some corn for poppin'
The lights are turned down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Yesterday we were under a heavy snowfall warning of 20 - 25 cm, and mother nature did not disappoint!

So my card for today's here at One Crazy Stamper blog was inspired by it....

First off I must say that you should never heat emboss and then color with your Copics, as the two seem to not really like each other (guess who will be replacing a few Copic nibs in the near future).  Oh well, lesson learned and I'm passing it on to all of my followers.  Now, back to the card - the image is High Hopes Rubber Stamps Winter Wonderland U-013.  I stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed it with a white embossing powder, and then I colored it.  Excuse the streaky sky - I was going for the northern lights and really messed it up when the reaction occurred - sigh!  After coloring the image, I once again stamped with Versamark( thank goodness for the MISTI) and added more white embossing powder.  The next time I think I'll stamp the image with a light color, color it with my Copics, and then heat embossed the white over the finished product.

Copics - B12, B02, B26, B24, B00, B66, 0, G14, G02, YG13, G29, G94, C1

Santa was Here

Twenty days until Christmas arrives, and look what my wandering eyes did see....

...it's Santa's hat, and an adorable tag for a gift!!  This sweet image is Penguin Tag from High Hopes Rubber Stamps newest release, Woodsy Christmas.  I have colored the image with Copic markers and used a Sakura white glaze pen to add highlights.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, then I added silver embossing powder which was heated to create the finishing touch.

Miracle

For today's post for One Crazy Stamper I decided to create something a little different.  This card features three different stamp images from different companies but they all came together beautifully.

I started this card by stamping the High Hopes Rubber stamp Forest on to water color paper with Versa Mark embossing ink, and then white embossing powder was applied and heated.  Once that was finished I used Inktense pencils to color the card front.  A sentiment from Crafter's Companion and the Santa and sleigh image from my stash finished off the front.  I added some clear glitter glue to the snow and trees to add some sparkle.

Card Recipe - Inktense pencils -0840 Iron Blue, 0900 Iris Blue, 1510 Beech Green, 1310 Iron Green, 2110 Payne's Grey, 1900 Willow

Gofer Christmas Greetings

Who doesn't love an adorable little gopher wishing you a very Sparkly Christmas!!!  I just had to color up this cutie from High Hopes Rubber Stamps newest release Woodsy Christmas.

This is Christmas Gofer that I colored with Copic markers.  After fussy cutting the image I added sparkle with touches of a silver glitter pen, white highlights with a Sakura glaze pen, 3D berries made with white and red pearl pens, snow with Liquid Applique, some fun flock on the hat, and then to finish off the whole image I sprayed it with Shimmer Spritz (sure wish the glitter showed on this photo).

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Rubber stamps and is available here.  A red snowflake cut using an older Memory Box die from my stash finishes off the card front.

Blue Christmas

Happy Halloween everyone!!

It's time for me to show you another one of the new release images from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, and this time around I have not done any coloring!!

This beauty was created by stamping the Wreath (TT167) image on to Copic Xpress It cardstock with VersaMark embossing ink, and then covering the image with clear embossing powder.  After heat setting the image I then used Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch distress inks to create the background color.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is also from the newest Woodsy Christmas release and can be purchased here.  Some randomly place dots of white created with a Sakura white gel pen, and a touch of Star Dust Stickles finish off the card front.

Wednesday has come again, so it's time for me to share my latest creation here at One Crazy Stamper.  The new release Woodsy Christmas has arrived at the store, and is available for purchase, but alas Canada Post is slow in getting my stamps to me so....... in the meantime I have an older image to share with you all.

This image is Three Pane Christmas from High Hopes Rubber stamps that I have stamped on to Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento ink, and then colored with my Copic sketch markers.  Once I fussy cut the image out, it was placed on a card front that features an older Cuttlebug embossing folder, some Carta Bella paper, and a My Favorite Things sentiment.

Blue Bird

Hard to believe but Christmas is just a short few weeks away, so I have been busy creating cards for the occasion.  Today's card is just one of many!

I got creative with this image entitled Blue Birdy (PP001) from High Hopes Rubber Stamps,by using it as the main focal point of the card, and also to create the patterned paper on the top of the card.  I stamped the image lightly in three colors to coordinate with the designer paper I picked, and then stamped the image with Memento Ink, and colored the image with Copics.  The addition of some Stampendous Fun Flock to the fur details finished off the image.

Card Recipe - Copics - B34, B37, B39, YR04, YR09, V04, V06, V09

Hockey Greetings

It's been a crazy week - I spent last week in Calgary teaching classes, visiting friends and hitting all of my favorite restaurants!!  I was going to return home to the Kootenays today, but thankfully I was watching the weather forecast and knew I had to make the long drive home yesterday - good thing as Calgary was hit with a big dump of snow today - up to 35 cm in parts of the city!!

For today's post I colored up "Goalie Gregg" P025 from High Hopes Rubber Stamps with my Copic sketch markers and then mounted it on a card that I created with just colored cardstock.  The sentiment is hand written.

Card Recipe - E00, E01, E11, E21, E23, E25, E27, E33, E35, E37, B24, B26, R24, R27, R29, N1, N3, N4, N10

Jumping with Excitement

This last month has been full of birthdays, both family and friends celebrated the big event, so it's been a very busy month.  Boy's cards are super hard to find so I just had to design this little fellow into a card for the big event!

This adorable image is Jumping Party Robot from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I have colored him with Copic markers and then fussy cut him out.  The designer paper is from Bo Bunny and the sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly.  I used good old fashioned pinking scissors to make the border around the sentiment.

A Merry Little Snowlady

Christmas in July is a great way to get a start on all of those Christmas cards that we always say we will make early, and then come late November we suddenly realize we don't have enough cards once again.  This week for One Crazy Stamper I have colored up the adorable Snowlady Surprise from High Hopes Rubber stamps.

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento ink and then colored with Copic sketch markers.  To add further dimension to the image I added Prismacolor pencils to the shadows and highlights, and blended it out with Gamsol.  Echo Park's Hello Winter paper is the card base, and the sentiment is from my stash - an old Waltzing Mouse stamp.
