Elf On A Shelf?

Happy Saturday!
There's such a craze with "Elf on the shelf" lately! I think it's so cute and fun to do and wish we would have had that when my kids were little! High Hopes "Painting Elf" reminds me of the shelf elf!
These milk cartons are from Michaels and I got them on clearance last year! What I did was make some red and green paper strips with my paper shredder to put inside and then stashed a little gift inside. Then I just decorated the outside and added the Painting Elf with some foam squares.
It makes a cute little box for a different type of gift wrapping!
Copics Used:

Think Snow -- High Hopes Stamps

If you like it or not Winter is on it's way and if you live in my part of the world we had our first snow fall last night.  I haven't accepted this change in weather as of yet and taking my snowy / frozen clothes off the laundry line after work yesterday totally proves that!

I love the designs in this stamp release. Many darling  details like the sweet candy canes in this Snowman's pocket. The tree  has added acrylic paint to give a soft and snowy look. Hot glued cotton to the base of the tree and an added star for the tree topper.
The sentiment is from High Hopes from the snowman mini set found here
Thanks for peeking! Have a crafty rest of the week :)

Cascade Card Tutorial

Tuesday is here again and for today's post I have a Cascade Card Tutorial.  I originally saw this tutorial on Beccy's Place.  It is a rather unique shape and does make a rather nice card if you are looking for something different.

Outside of Card

Inside of Card

Supplies used:

Step 1:  Take a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock and cut it to be 6" x 12".

Step 2:  Starting from the left hand side and on the long side score at 2", 4", 8" and 10".  Fold in along the scorelines as mountain, valley, valley and mountain.

Step 3:  Measure 2" down from the top left hand corner of the card.  Draw a line from the mark that was just made to the top of the 4" score line.  Do the same on the right hand side using the top of the 8" scoreline.  Cut along both of these lines.  Keep both pieces.

Step 4:  Design Paper Preparation.  Whatever design paper you decide to use, cut 1 piece to be 5 3/4" x 3 3/4".  This is to be used for the inside middle part of the card.  Cut 4 pieces of paper to be 5 3/4" x 1 3/4".  Use the triangular off cuts to get the correct angles for the strips and make sure that you trim the panels in the right direction

The image Penquin Love, was coloured with Copic Markers.  Polar White Flower Soft was used on the trim of the hats.  The image was then fuzzy cut and mounted to the middle panel.  The sentiment was added to the left front panel.  Faux Snow was also added to the middle panel.

For any supplies that you have on your wish list for Santa, do check out Lora's OCS store for some amazing products and prices.

Until next time, keep crafting.

Hugs,

Freezin' Season

Welcome back friends, my card today is for the challenge this month here at One Crazy Stamper, I have actually made two cards using the same wonderful image from High Hopes Rubber Stamps-Freezin' Season, Snowman Stumble, From all of Us.  I made the first one adding some snowflakes and sequins, embossing the background card stock and coloring the image using Copic markers.

The second card using the same image trying the chalkboard technique, looks different in person, but wanted to share it anyway.  The image is colored using white pencil crayon and chalk.  I used other pencil crayons as well.  Adding the mitten/hat and snowflake sequins.  I also used glittery paper and a Merry Christmas die.

Thanks and I hope you get a chance to check out these fun awesome stamps and play along with the amazing design team creating some fun projects.  Till next time happy crafting.

Santa Bob!

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing with you a card using the super cute Santa Bob from the High Hopes new release called Joys of the Season.
I decided to use up some paper from my stash. I used the Echo Park Refections Christmas 6x6 collection. My design is really simple and I only added 2 layers of Designer papers. A piece of twine with 2 tiny gold bells, a bow, Crystal Stickles and some white flocking on Santa's beard and hair finished off my design!

inside of my card using the" Ho Ho Ho "sentiment.
Copics Used:
Skin: E000, E01, E31
Santa suit: R35, R37, R39
Boots & Glasses: W3, W5, W7, W9
Chimney: W1, W3, W5
Snow: B0000, B00
I did a second card using papers from the same collection but this time Santa's beard is left plain only using W0 on the edges. I wasn't sure I like the white flocking I used on the other card but the more I look at it, it seems to be growing on me.
