Oh the Weather Outside is .....

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
Since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn't show signs of stoppin'
And I've brought some corn for poppin'
The lights are turned down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Yesterday we were under a heavy snowfall warning of 20 - 25 cm, and mother nature did not disappoint!

So my card for today's here at One Crazy Stamper blog was inspired by it....

First off I must say that you should never heat emboss and then color with your Copics, as the two seem to not really like each other (guess who will be replacing a few Copic nibs in the near future).  Oh well, lesson learned and I'm passing it on to all of my followers.  Now, back to the card - the image is High Hopes Rubber Stamps Winter Wonderland U-013.  I stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed it with a white embossing powder, and then I colored it.  Excuse the streaky sky - I was going for the northern lights and really messed it up when the reaction occurred - sigh!  After coloring the image, I once again stamped with Versamark( thank goodness for the MISTI) and added more white embossing powder.  The next time I think I'll stamp the image with a light color, color it with my Copics, and then heat embossed the white over the finished product.

Copics - B12, B02, B26, B24, B00, B66, 0, G14, G02, YG13, G29, G94, C1

Santa was Here

Twenty days until Christmas arrives, and look what my wandering eyes did see....

...it's Santa's hat, and an adorable tag for a gift!!  This sweet image is Penguin Tag from High Hopes Rubber Stamps newest release, Woodsy Christmas.  I have colored the image with Copic markers and used a Sakura white glaze pen to add highlights.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, then I added silver embossing powder which was heated to create the finishing touch.

Card Recipe - Copics - R24, R29, N1, N4, N7, N10, B23, B26, B29, B0000, G43, G46

Miracle

For today's post for One Crazy Stamper I decided to create something a little different.  This card features three different stamp images from different companies but they all came together beautifully.

I started this card by stamping the High Hopes Rubber stamp Forest on to water color paper with Versa Mark embossing ink, and then white embossing powder was applied and heated.  Once that was finished I used Inktense pencils to color the card front.  A sentiment from Crafter's Companion and the Santa and sleigh image from my stash finished off the front.  I added some clear glitter glue to the snow and trees to add some sparkle.

Card Recipe - Inktense pencils -0840 Iron Blue, 0900 Iris Blue, 1510 Beech Green, 1310 Iron Green, 2110 Payne's Grey, 1900 Willow

Blue Christmas

Happy Halloween everyone!!

It's time for me to show you another one of the new release images from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, and this time around I have not done any coloring!!

This beauty was created by stamping the Wreath (TT167) image on to Copic Xpress It cardstock with VersaMark embossing ink, and then covering the image with clear embossing powder.  After heat setting the image I then used Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch distress inks to create the background color.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is also from the newest Woodsy Christmas release and can be purchased here.  Some randomly place dots of white created with a Sakura white gel pen, and a touch of Star Dust Stickles finish off the card front.

Gardening Friends

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday here at One Crazy Stamper, and another card from me using the theme for this month's challenge of "KRAFT".  When I first heard what the theme for this months challenge would be, I was stumped as I very rarely use kraft colored cardstock, but that's what a challenge is about right - it's to challenge us to create with something we don't usually use, so.......here's my card!

I really went with the kraft theme by using the kraft cardstock as my base, and then stamping the image with Versamark ink and embossing it all with a dark brown embossing powder.  I even had to mask the image to extend the flower border across the entire width of the card.  Once the embossed image had cooled, I used my Copic Sketch Markers to color in the details ( sorry about the glare on the photo ).  The sentiment and ribbon are from my stash, and the image is "Garden Assistant" from Penny Black!!!

There is still a week left to enter the challenge to win a great prize package of High Hopes stamps from One Crazy Stamper, so get busy and create!!!

It's a Shore Thing......

Wow, it's the middle of the month already, but you still have plenty of time to create a Krafty project for One Crazy Stamper's challenge theme. For the month of July we are asking you to get "KRAFTY" and use kraft cardstock, the color kraft, kraft embellishments - the list is endless of what you can use to enter to win a fabulous prize of four High Hopes Stamps.

My card this week started with a base of kraft cardstock then a layer of dp from Bo Bunny's Key Lime collection. I then used a couple of colors of torn Tim Holtz Kraft Core cardstock to add some layers. On the top strip of kraft core cardstock, I placed an older Spellbinders Impressibilites template, then used Tsukineko VersaMark ink and Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder to bring out the design of the Impressibility. The image "The Little Captain" from Whimsy Stamps was colored with Copics, then matted with more kraft cardstock.

Shall We Dance

Terrific Tuesday time again here at One Crazy Stamper, and in keeping with this month's theme of Love, I have stamped and colored up this great image from Art Impressions.

This is one of the Bird Brains stamps called Dancing Birdie and Scratch, which I colored with Copics, fussy cut and then placed on the card front with an Action Wobble to make them dance, wiggle and jive!!! To create the card front, I randomly rubbed four different colors of distress inks (Aged Mahogany, Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade and Walnut Stain ) across a piece of watercolor paper, then spritzed with water to make the colors blend. After drying the resulting wash with my heat gun, I then stamped the Aged Mahogany ink pad on to my splat mat, then spritzed the color with water to make the ink form into drops. I then placed the original piece of blended colors over top of the droplets of color, to create the blotchy look. To complete the look I stamped the Whimsy Stamps Into the Farm image with Versamark ink, sprinkled with brown embossing powder, and used the heat gun again. The sentiment is from my stash. This would be a great card for an anniversay or special day to celebrate Love.

Clearful Bird!!

Okay today's post title is a little bit of a play on words - it should probably be a Cheerful Bird!!  This card front features Impression Obsession's Bird collage image, stamped on clear acetate with Versamark, then embossed with gold embossing enamel.

The edges were also embossed with gold embossing enamel with the addition of glided fragments and chiffon color fragments.  Using the Crop-a-dile each corner received a red eyelet and gold 20 gauge wire was threaded through the eyelets.  A prima rose was colored with R39 and attached to the card front with a glue dot.
Today is the last day to enter the challenge here at One Crazy Stamper - the theme this month is clear/acetate, and you can win an awesome prize, so hurry and enter to win.
