This Book Belongs To...

Good day fellow crafty friends, I have a bookmark to share today. I've been having quite a few requests for them lately. This one is a birthday gift to my sister, it will be mailed overseas to the caribbean. I really hope she gets it, as the Christmas card I sent didn't make it for some reason. So there is a little story behind this bookmark... First of all I made myself one a few months ago and used the queen from Queenie and Princess, so for my sisters I used the princess portion of the stamp. After all she is my younger sister, i thought it was a cute idea.

Here is the breakdown: I used some kraft paper to follow our "Kraft Challenge" theme this month and saw that Kerri used kraft on her ticket dies and just had to be a copy cat! I placed several brads and one fancy stitched one, some black rhinestones and a decorative button. I use a Crop-A-Dille eyelet and punch tool to make the hole for the tassel and also added a pretty bead to it. On my image I paper pieced her top, embossed her princess hat in gold tinsel and attached a pair of black glasses(which is a brad).

I hope you like it and have a beautiful day!

Good Morning and welcome to Wonderful Wednesday here at One Crazy Stamper.  It seems like the weeks are getting shorter and this day sneaks up on me every week.

I am not sure what the weather is like where you are but here in Southern Ontario it is HOT and I mean HOT (the humidex is awful....it is like walking into a brick wall of humidity).  Our little air conditioner and fans are just not keeping up.  And this card that I made today makes me feel cooler and takes me to a place I would much rather be.  I used a new image from the Your Next Stamp Darlin' Diva Collection

It's a Shore Thing......

Wow, it's the middle of the month already, but you still have plenty of time to create a Krafty project for One Crazy Stamper's challenge theme. For the month of July we are asking you to get "KRAFTY" and use kraft cardstock, the color kraft, kraft embellishments - the list is endless of what you can use to enter to win a fabulous prize of four High Hopes Stamps.

My card this week started with a base of kraft cardstock then a layer of dp from Bo Bunny's Key Lime collection. I then used a couple of colors of torn Tim Holtz Kraft Core cardstock to add some layers. On the top strip of kraft core cardstock, I placed an older Spellbinders Impressibilites template, then used Tsukineko VersaMark ink and Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder to bring out the design of the Impressibility. The image "The Little Captain" from Whimsy Stamps was colored with Copics, then matted with more kraft cardstock.

You're Special

Hi All;

The past week has been rather quiet, peaceful and relaxing while away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  I definitely like it up in Tobermory as it is a whole different pace; come and go as you please, no rushing anywhere, watching the boats and ducks play in Little Tub Harbour.

Being away has given me time to reflect on the fact, that as a whole we don't always tell someone how special they really are and we should make a point of telling them so.  For my post today for One Crazy Stamper, I have used Huggy Bear from Nellie Snellen and the sentiment from the Wellington Collection by Docrafts.

There is still plenty of time to enter this month's Kraft Challenge at One Crazy Stamper for a chance to win a High Hopes prize pack.  While you are being creative, check out Lora's OCS brick and mortar store as well as the online store for some amazing deals.

Just Wanted To Say...

For my post today I'm sharing a thank you card that I made for a special person. Sometimes saying thank you just isn't enough, and giving a handmade card shows that you really mean it.

I used three High Hopes images which I coloured with my Derwent Inktense pencils and fussy cut them all. I altered Dwight the dragon by removing his mushroom seat, the branch and swing are glued right on to the design paper and I used pop dots to raise Dwight as I did with two of the clouds.

I hope you enjoyed my creation!

Supplies Used

Dwight(High Hopes), Swing(High Hopes), Branch(High Hopes)
Cloud Die(Whimsy), Rhinestones-Aqua(Kaiser), Summer Sky Ink(Memento)
Swing-Mauve,Violet,Madder Brown. Branch-Bark,Dark Chocolate,Field Green. Dragon-Apple Green,Beech Green,Sea Blue, Deep Indigo,Iris Blue,Cadmium Yellow
