It's a Black and White Kind of Day

It's been one of those weeks and so for today's card I decided to challenge myself to an all black and white card - something I try to do at least once a year. I think this one turned out great!!

This sweet image is "Wizarding Gnome" from the A Magical Day release at High Hopes stamps.  I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored it with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  The stars and glitter were colored with a Sakura Clear glitter pen and then I added Wink of Stella silver to the larger stars.  The star flourish is an oldie from Memory Box and the frame is an unknown brand.  The sentiment is from the same release and is available here.

Card Recipe
Copics - N0, N2, N3, N6, N10, C3, C5, T0, T2, T7, T10
Prismacolor pencils - 1058 90% Warm Grey, 1063 10% Warm Grey, 1063 50% Cool Grey, 1060 - 20%  Cool Grey, 938 White

Gnomes at Night

Welcome to One Crazy Stampers release of the new High Hopes "A Magical Day" images.  Each day for the last week the design team members have been sharing their products using images from the release, and today it's my turn!!

This adorable image is "3 Little Garden Gnomes" that I instantly fell in love with!!  I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored it with Copics and added Prismacolor pencils for added depth and detail.  Each gnome hat received a touch of either Wink of Stella Gold, Sakura white glaze pen or Sakura Clear Star for added sparkle, and the crystal ball has hints of the white gel pen.  The image was then fussy cut and placed on the galaxy background I created with Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry and Black Soot distress inks.  For even more detail on the background I used the Sakura Glaze pen to add dots to represent stars!  The sentiment is also from the new release and is available here.

I Like.....

Today is often referred to as Throwback Thursday, so as a salute to that, my card today is not a throwback card, but the subject is definitely from another decade - welcome to Throwback Thursday 80's style.

This sweet image is Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Farrah Loves Flashdance available here.  I colored the image with Copic Sketch Markers, added Judikins Diamond Glaze to her bubble, Wink of Stella silver accents on the stereo, and randomly drew lines around the entire image with a Sakura Clear Star pen.  After cutting the image and surrounding mat with a Spellbinder die, the image was then mounted on older Fancy Pants paper.  The musical notes were cut with Memory Box dies, and the sentiment is included with the image.

The Bestest Birthday Ever

Woo Hoo, Thursday has rolled around again which means it's my turn to showcase a project for One Crazy Stamper, and I have another adorable Petunia image today!!

Say hello to Petunia Has a Party from Stamping Bella!  I have colored the image with my trusty Copic sketch markers, then added sparkle with a Sakura Clear Star pen, and white dots around the image with a Sakura white Glaze pen.  After cutting and matting the image with a Spellbinder die, and inking the edges with either Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet or Wild Honey distress inks, I then mounted it on the card front which features Authentique dp.  The sentiment is included with the image and finished off the card perfectly.

Life's a Beach

Wow, another month has flown by, but you still have a few days left this month to enter the One Crazy Stamper challenge of Anything Goes with any stamped image - no digital images are allowed!!
For the entire month the design team has been featuring images from our sponsor company - WHIMSY STAMPS, and my card today has a wonderful Elisabeth Bell image called Beauty.

Once again I have used Copic sketch markers to color the image, and then I used a Sakura Stardust pen to add highlight to the mermaid tail ( you probably can't see the shine of the fins, but it looks great ! ). I used my Grand Calibur and a Grand die to cut the shape of the card, then layered paper from Authentique's Renew collection for added color. The ribbon and sentiment are from my stash.

Tail - BG70, BG72, BG75
Skin - E00, E01, E02
