Another Year Wiser!

Have you ever had one of those times when you had envisioned something completely different as to how the card turned out.  Well, this is the case for today's card.  After a couple of mishaps and completely not what I had in mind, I'm happy with how it turned out.

After colouring Waving Owl with Copic Markers, I cut it out using a circle die.  To get the effect of the circle die sitting inside the hexagon, I put the same size circle inside the hexagon die and cut them out together.  This allowed Waving Owl to sit inside the hexagon.

Owl Hellooo

Happy Thursday OCS Fans! 

I hope you're all having a good week and enjoying the sounds of Spring and hopefully seeing some sun. 

This week's post is sharing Waving Owl, one of the cute, pudgy owls from the new release at High Hopes Stamps and the Hellooo sentiment.

I started by cutting Waving Owl with my Cricut using the svg file (07), then stamping it using my Misti and coloured with my alcohol markers. I cut my light blue cardstock and embossed it using a Polka Dot embossing folder and added some white cardstock puffy clouds. Waving Owl is waving so I mounted him with an action wobble so he wiggles and jiggles when the card is moved - so fun!

It's a High Hopes Owlfest!

There are the snuggling owls, a sleeping owl, three single owls, and the owl trio.  *Take another look at the branch, the tree stump, the balloons, party hat and hair bow - these are the accessory stamps (not shown are a bowtie & some spectacles).  Oh, the possibilities!!  And... if these adorable stamps aren't enough - there are SVG cut files available in the OCS/HH stores for each image in the new release, you get an outline image that you can stamp on, plus a large outline to use as a mat (none of them are shown here, I fussy cut by hand).
