Happy 60th Birthday!

Hi One Crazy Stamper Fans!

Hello There! My brother turned 60 this year and so I had to have some fun with his card. LOL!  I thought the background paper was perfect for his card with all those candles.

I used the stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps called "Birthday Bob" and coloured in the image with Copic markers. I tried to colour the candles to match the background paper.

The sentiment was created in Microsoft Word using Cooper Black font and then printed out on my printer. Then I die cut it with My Creative Time - Stitched Circle Balloon Dies using my Cuttelbug and completed the edging around the balloon with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber.

The main image and co-ordinating rectangles were all die cut with Your Next Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die Set.

On the inside of the card I loved the sentiment:  Birthday Emergency (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Firefighter Dragon (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). My brother is also a Firefighter so I couldn't resist the temptation! LOL!
He loved his card and I hope you do too!

Cat Doctor Is In!

Welcome One Crazy Stamper Fans!

We have a brand new release for Get Well Wishes from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Today I'm sharing what I'm calling the Cat Doctor Is In, featuring "Nurse Kitty" (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the image and High Hopes Rubber Stamps - "Get Well Soon Script2".
Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE black cats and so I just had to colour this image in the darker colours! LOL! Coloured the image using Copic markers and then used PrismaColor Premier Black pencil to create the fine fur texture.
The striped background paper was chosen because it reminded me of the Candy Stripers who used to volunteer at all of the hospitals when I was younger. (Dating myself here! LOL!) Hoping this little kitty puts a smile on someone's face and cheers them up!

Party Animals

Welcome OCS Fans!
Sharing a fun card featuring: High Hopes - Wild Party and sentiment High Hopes - Birthday Party Animals! I just love these little characters.
I first stamped the sentiment using Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Dusty Concord and then to emboss it I used some Versamark and Ranger - Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. Using my MISTI, made this very easy to do. I decided to add a little bit of bling as well, so I die cut a few small balloons and added them on each side of the sentiment. Fall Colored Chloe

Hi All,

Have you ever colored an image and absolutely LOVED how it turned out???  I did and look at her!  I love how the shading of her hair turned out!  I used Chloe by Elizabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.  I stamped her using memento black and colored her with my copics.  I used Blossom Nestabilities and cut her out and with the image still in the nestie I sponged some memento green ink around the edges to give it a little depth.  I paper pierced around the edges (HUGE tip is to adhere ALL of the top layers together--not the base--and paper pierce through there and then use pop dots so you don't squash your pokes)

Have a great week!

Gadget Girl

Hi All!

I carved out some crafty time and I really needed it!  I used the adorable Gadget Girl from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.

I loved coloring her!  Of course when I use copics as my coloring medium I ONLY use Memento Tuxedo Black.  I have this in the regular size pad and the small one as well.  This way you get the right amount of coverage no matter what you are stamping.  I am thinking she is going to be a thank you card.

Only a few more days to enter this months chalenge!

Her name is Little Umbrella. Isn't she perfect for our Fun in the Sun challenge? That sentiment is from Pink Cat Studio. My papers are from Cosmo Cricket Salt Air.
My coloring is with Copics and for a twist this time she was stamped with Memento Ink in Desert Sand.
You can check my blog for close ups and further details : )

YNS - Ellie Loves Walking Her Dog

Dana here and look at this adorable stamp from Your Next Stamp!!
This fall cutey is Ellie Loves Walking her Dog. I played around with a few different backgrounds and I finally decided I like this one the best.  I first created my sky and grass using the technique you can view here. Originally I had the clouds in but I knew I really wanted the swirls to show up to simulate gusty fall winds.  The swirls were achieved by misting a swirl background stamp with colorless blender.
Here's a close up:
Edit added**
I completely forgot to mention her cute little tights which were created with a sepia copic multiliner.
My rhinestones in the lower right corner sure didn't photo real well, but they're there!
Supplies:
Stamp - Your Next Stamp Ellie Loves Walking Her Dog
Copics and Colorless blender
Memento Ink
X-Press It Adhesive Tape
Spellbinders Nestabilies
Rhinestones

Thanks so much for coming by to have a look! We sure hope you will join our recipe challenge this month.
And remember to come back every day to see what the rest of our amazing team has in store for you! These ladies are TALENTED!!

Your Next Stamp - Runaway Cake

This little guy stealing the cake just cracks me up!! Take a look:
That's Runaway Cake by Your Next Stamp. Too cute! I wish you could see how cool those candles and chipboard pieces cut from sizzlet dies turned out! Here's a close up:
Eh.. still looks better in person! The sparkle things were cut with a old sizzlet die I don't think they even make anymore out of plain white chipboard and then spritzed with Bahama Blue Fireworks spray. Forget about all the other colored mists you've tried! This stuff is intense!! I love it! You could also use them with the new glimmer screens that Lora is carrying!
Back to our little rascally rat ; ) He was stamped with Memento Ink, a must have for all of your copic work!  I colored him and the candles with my copics,  then I added some stickles.  And I just have to mention an overlooked product, adhesive!! If you've not tried the X-Press It tape you need to! I love this stuff! It's strong, economical and earth friendly (not all those plastic parts to throw away)!
That's all for today but don't forget you still have a few days to get in our Colors of the Rainbow challenge!
Hugs~

Happy Fathers Day!

Dana here and look at this adorable image:
He's Ethan Out on the Pond from Your Next Stamp. Is he not the cutest thing ever?? I stamped him on Xpress-It cardstock with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and then colored with my Copics. I used twine in two colors to attach my sentiment. I used the Circles Nestabilities from Spellbinders. I added three rhinestones to highlight "Dad".
You still have plenty of time to join our "Colors of the Rainbow" Challenge. Also, I want to encourage you to take a click over to the store! Lora has been adding new items and my wish list is growing by the mile!! Come back every day to see what the rest of our fabulous DT has in store for you.

The Greeting Farm - Friday

When I saw this stamp I just new I had to use it for my husbands Fathers Day card from our daughter. This is Friday from The Greeting Farm:
I wanted to add something like "From your lil' Angel" but I will either let her write that or put it in the inside. Here's a close up:
She was stamped with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black on Copic Xpress It Blending Card before coloring her with my Copics. I use Sketch markers but all copics regardless of the style of marker you use have the same ink. I will say I do have a couple of the original copics and they came in really handy with their hard points to do her eyes.
I only used one Spellbinders Nestabilitie Circle instead of layering like I normally would do. That was because I wanted a lot of those wings to show.
I did lots of distessing with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Dusty Corcord. I love how muted and subtle that shade is. Oh, and how could I forget the Art Institute Glitter?
I have a few more close ups (I just can't help myself!!) on my blog.
There's still plenty of time to enter our challenge this month.
I also want to publicly extend my congratulations and heart felt cheers for Lora and her family for their new endeavor!! I sure wish I was closer so I could come and browse through her soon to open brick and mortar store!!! Woo Hoo!!! Can you imagine just how many more goodies she will be bringing to us now that she has more room to store them?
Cannot wait!!!

Hugs~

Beanie Anya

Hi all.  If you have visited my personal blog you may know that my long time friend (known her since 8th grade) was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer last November.  She actually started chemo the day after her 30th birthday.  Well I am happy to report that today she is in full remission and has had two clean PET scans which is remarkable.  Sometimes in this fight it is hard to think of what you can do for another person but the best thing is to just be there.  We realized that we celebrate so many milestones in life-Anniversaries, birthdays, weddings-that maybe we should celebrate the biggest milestone of all--Life!

So today why you are perusing blogs, my friends and I are hosting a celebration of life party in honor of my friend Amanda.  We know that although laughter is not cure it sometimes IS the best medicine, so we will have games and the prizes are all known cancer fighters.  The ribbon color for Hodgkin's Lymphoma is lavender and Purple in general is the color for cancer.  So my house is overblown with purple right now.

Which leads me to this weeks project.  We are all doing scrapbook pages of messages to her and this is the beginning of the book.  This great poem about all that Cancer cannot do was found on the web and I knew I had to use Beanie Anya because Amanda wore a beanie all winter long after she shaved her head.  If you look close you can see that I altered Anya.  The original image has two long pig tails so I just trimmed them out of my image and colored away with my copics.

Here is a close up of Anya

Hope you enjoy this weeks project!  Have a fun and crafty Day!

Supplies:  Beanie Anya, Copics--Sketch, Poem was google searched, paper is from my personal stash.

Getting Krafty with Agnes--Kraftin Kimmie

Woo Hoo I received some new goodies in the mail from Lora and I could not wait to play!  have you checked out the Kraftin Kimmie section of the store lately???  OMGosh there are some new fairies, and some fun girls that are just like us!!!  Some stuff is even marked lower then the super low prices that are already in place!  This is one of my absolute favorites and as soon as I saw her I HAD to have her....This is exactly who I want to be, well, except for hand mixing.  That is where my cherished Kitchen aid comes in handy.

Isn't she adorable!  I had this fun vintage looking scrap Design Paper in my stash and it has ingredients for a recipe so I HAD to use it.  Agnes is colored with copics (shocker, right?).  I finally upgraded my trimmers so it was a lot easier to trimming her.

Supplies:  Stamp--Kraftin Kimmie (Agnes), Copics--Sketch (R20, R29, E57, E47, E11, C1, Y21, C5, E34), Misc supplies in my stash

TGF-Fancy Anya

Hi all!

Today's card uses The Greeting Farm Fancy Anya.  I used my wonderful copics (of course!).  Also, I wanted to add a little tip for all you copic users!  For this card I did not have the right color ribbon to match what I was doing so I used my green copic (the chisel side not the brush) and I colored in my white ribbon to match my card.  Super easy and now any color ribbon you want is at your disposal!

Supplies:  Stamp-The Greeting Farm (Fancy Anya), Stickles, Rectangle Nestabilities
