Happy 60th Birthday!

Hi One Crazy Stamper Fans!

Hello There! My brother turned 60 this year and so I had to have some fun with his card. LOL!  I thought the background paper was perfect for his card with all those candles.

I used the stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps called "Birthday Bob" and coloured in the image with Copic markers. I tried to colour the candles to match the background paper.

The sentiment was created in Microsoft Word using Cooper Black font and then printed out on my printer. Then I die cut it with My Creative Time - Stitched Circle Balloon Dies using my Cuttelbug and completed the edging around the balloon with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber.

The main image and co-ordinating rectangles were all die cut with Your Next Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die Set.

On the inside of the card I loved the sentiment:  Birthday Emergency (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Firefighter Dragon (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). My brother is also a Firefighter so I couldn't resist the temptation! LOL!
He loved his card and I hope you do too!

CAS Smiles

Welcome Back OCS Fans!

This week I decided to challenge myself just to shake things up a little in my crafty world. I have alot of patterned paper - yes it's an addiction - but I also have alot of little pieces -you know the ones that are trimmed off an edge of a sheet and you just can't bear to throw it out - gasp!

My challenge was to use some of these smaller pieces as well as create a CAS (clean and simple) card. Double whammy and challenge accepted! I decided that "Blossom" from the new Darling Diva's release at High Hopes would be perfect for my card.

To start this card I cut out my white background using a stitched square die. The stitched scallop border edge was cut next using a die. I used my Misti to place the stamp and sentiment in the perfect spot and inked away - LOVE my Misti! After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers I added the patterned paper edge.  I used a brown marker to add some freckles to puppy's cheeks and some sparkly Stickles on the heart and dress collar give me a touch of bling.
All of this was mounted on some cardstock and voila - double challenge met...I think...

Card Recipe
Stamps: Blossom  - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Sending Smiles - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Spring - Echo Park
Tuxedo Black ink - MementoMisti, Crystal Stickles, white gelly roll pen, My Creative Time die, Stitched Rectangle die - YNS, brown marker to add puppy freckles

Before Coffee

Hello OCS Fans!

I got in touch with my CAS (Clean and Simple) side this week. I LOVE my coffee and for some reason when I saw this Loungin' Lizzy stamp from High Hopes it reminded me of myself before coffee. I admit, I'm a bit of a bear before my coffee. I love Lizzy's expression so I wanted to keep my card simple to focus on her. I also have to admit I don't do rollers in my hair....just sayin.....

I also have to admit I find it very hard to take a good photo of an all white background card - but practice makes perfect so I will keep working on that.
I coloured Lizzy with alcohol markers and paper pieced her bath robe. I LOVE her bunny slippers! Silver Wink of Stella adds a little bit of sparkle to her earrings. I cut my white background piece to the size I wanted and after creating my sentiment on my computer printed it and voila! A striped matching paper was added to the outside edge and gumdrops finish off my card.

Flower Birthday

My mom texted me a couple weeks ago and asked me to make a birthday card for her dear friend. I know she likes purple, pink and yellow, and flowers. I also knew Garden Fence from High Hopes Rubber Stamps would be the perfect stamp for her card.

I coloured my stamp with alcohol markers, and added some glitter to all the flowers with a rose and clear sparkle pen. I used paper from Little Yellow Bicycle, K and Company and my stash. Grape Jelly Gumdrops and some white ribbon from my stash finish off my card.
My mom's friend loved the card and even sent an email to be forwarded to me from my mom to thank me.

My Anchor

It's no secret, I am an animal lover. When I saw this stamp from High Hopes I just had to have it! This little guy is so cute sitting here fishing and just hanging out with his dog.

I coloured my stamp with alcohol markers added some navy blue and white card stock behind it. Silver brads from my stash were added to the corners. I used some paper from the Making Waves Collection from Fancy Pants and Adrift from Basic Grey. The anchor was stamped from the Float My Boat set from Lawn Fawn and fussy cut. The sentiment is from this set as well. I stamped it and used a fishtail banner die from Your Next Stamp to cut it out. Ribbon from American Craft and some white gumdrops from Your Next Stamp finish it off.

Snowmen Pile!

Happy Saturday!
Today I have a card to share with you that I made using my new Mini Minc Machine. I'm still a newbie with it  but I did manage to make something that I felt was good enough to share. With the Minc Machine you need to use Toner ink based items. What I did was use my Laser printer and printed off a stamped image of the High Hopes Stamps stamp called  "Snowman Pile". When I applied the foil, it was hard to actually see the foil as the lines are thin. I decided to colour in the outfits of the snowmen with a dark grey and then printed that off. This time the foil showed up much better. I printed everything in black and white at the darkest printer setting so that the toner would be dark and pick up the foil.
I also photocopied the Spellbinders Label 28 and then foiled the outline. When you actually use the die and cut it out, you get a foiled border. I used the Darice Snowflake Background embossing folder on my bottom layer of White Cardstock.  The Label 28 foiled piece is also embossed using the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder. The snowmen are popped up onto the Label 28 die cut with foam squares and then glued to a Spellbinders Decorative Labels 28 die cut. My final touches were matching sparkly ribbon and a few enamel dots.
I added used a few Copic Sketch Markers to highlight a few areas. I put C1 on the snowmen, YR04 for their noses, R01 for their cheeks and used Red and Green Gel pens to colour in the scarfs and mitts.
I also used the Mini Minc Machine to foil the HH Sentiment called " Unassembled Script" .

I must say that the Heidi Swapp Mini Minc Machine is really a cool tool to have in your craft closet. I have so much more to learn and improve on but my first attempt was fun! I'm happy how my cards turned out. Lora has so many different colours of foil and items to help you get started. Go Check them out here!

Happy Stamping!

I used black flower soft on his hair to give it a realistic look and some vintage Christmas flower soft around my oval die cut. I also carefully glued on tiny little decorative pearls on to the drum and used some fun flock on the boots and hat.

Snowy Tag

Good Morning.  Hasn't the last month been fun seeing all the Christmas projects using the High Hopes new releases?  If you have been inspired too you still have time to join us this month for our CHRISTMAS challenge.  But time is running out.

Today is my last Christmas post for this month. I am using the Snowy Tag stamp and I have two tags I have created ~ one is traditional and one not so much.

Copics Used:  TAG #1 ~ 0, B000, N4, N6, N8, N10, R24, R37, R89; TAG #2 ~ B02, B05, BV13, BV15, BV18, RV11, RV13, RV14, W1, W3, W5, W7

I paper pieced the scarf, hatband and fringe on tag #1 with paper and tag #2 with washi/craft tape.  Because I had used Copic markers on Copic paper you could see them on the other side of the tag so here is what I did:

The first tag is paper pieced with the matching paper and the second tag was covered with 3 different patterns of washi tape.  I like how both methods disguise the colors showing through.

Thanks for coming by.  Have a great day and keep crafting.

Hugs,

Making Friends in the Snow!!

It's a beautiful warm sunny day today, yet I'm showing you another cute winter themed card using a High Hopes image called "Making Friends". This is one of the newest images released at One Crazy Stamper with our monthly High Hopes celebration of Christmas/Winter themed images.

I had a great time coloring this image with my Copic Sketch Markers, and loved the final design of the card. The dp is from We R Memory Keepers Winter Frost collection, touches of white flocking are added to the fur trim of the snowman's hat, and I have added tons of 3D snowflakes by just using a Sakura White gel pen. This is definitely my favorite card this month.

Purples - BV31, BV34, BV17

How Old Are You?

Older than the Earth maybe? For this weeks card here at One Crazy Stamper's monthly challenge ( and the theme this month is Birthday!!! ) I've used a High Hopes stamp that I have owned for awhile, but never inked and colored till now!!

The image is Birthday Belle that I inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. I then cut and matted the image with a Spellbinder die then mounted it on dp from Bo Bunny's Mama-razzi2 collection. The charm, ribbon, sentiment and Tim Holtz film strip are all from my stash!!!

Here's the colors that I used to color this cutie -
