Backyard Boss

June brings us Father's Day, and for me - I have several male birthdays that I need cards for, so I thought I'd share a masculine card today using one of the Ai Heroes from Art Impressions: "Backyard Boss"
There's just something about a leaf blower... when the men in my family put ours on, it's like they're ready to destroy any alien life forms that may happen to walk into the backyard (smile) - and this stamp totally reminds me of this!!
Lora has all kinds of masculine stamps in the One Crazy Stamper store - so head on over and check them out!  OCS products used:  Art Impressions Backyard Boss

I stamped the bee on Copic X-press It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with my Copic sketch markers, then added Judikins Diamond Glaze to the eyes, and Stardust Stickles to the wings for added dimension. After fussy cutting the image I matted it with black cardstock and popped it up on the card front with pop dots. The card front and interior feature dp from Bo Bunny's Zip-a-dee-doodle collection. The bee's flight path was created with a black Viva Decor Pearl Pen, while the border was created by embossing a strip of black cardstock, and then highlighting the design with the jade Viva Decor Inka Gold.

How Old Are You?

Older than the Earth maybe? For this weeks card here at One Crazy Stamper's monthly challenge ( and the theme this month is Birthday!!! ) I've used a High Hopes stamp that I have owned for awhile, but never inked and colored till now!!

The image is Birthday Belle that I inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. I then cut and matted the image with a Spellbinder die then mounted it on dp from Bo Bunny's Mama-razzi2 collection. The charm, ribbon, sentiment and Tim Holtz film strip are all from my stash!!!

Totally Fintastic Sepia!!!

So for my last post this month here at One Crazy Stamper I've tried a new technique - using just two colors of Prismacolor pencils to create an all Sepia colored image on Kraft cardstock! I first saw the technique on a Designed to Color showcase here, and since I love the sepia look I had to give it a try.
For my first attempt at this technique I think it turned out okay, maybe a little bit darker then I would really like, but practice makes perfect. The image is "Bella" from Whimsy Stamps, that I stamped on kraft cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then used Prismacolor PC938 White and PC 948 Sepia to color the highlights and shadows, and blended the colors together with Gamsol and two blending stumps. The dp is Bo Bunny's Key Lime Making Waves.

It's a Shore Thing......

Wow, it's the middle of the month already, but you still have plenty of time to create a Krafty project for One Crazy Stamper's challenge theme. For the month of July we are asking you to get "KRAFTY" and use kraft cardstock, the color kraft, kraft embellishments - the list is endless of what you can use to enter to win a fabulous prize of four High Hopes Stamps.

My card this week started with a base of kraft cardstock then a layer of dp from Bo Bunny's Key Lime collection. I then used a couple of colors of torn Tim Holtz Kraft Core cardstock to add some layers. On the top strip of kraft core cardstock, I placed an older Spellbinders Impressibilites template, then used Tsukineko VersaMark ink and Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder to bring out the design of the Impressibility. The image "The Little Captain" from Whimsy Stamps was colored with Copics, then matted with more kraft cardstock.

Black and White Wedding

Okay, the procrastinator in me has really been working overtime this past year!!!  My youngest niece was married last June, and as part of her wedding gift I told her that I would do a scrapbook album featuring the big event - fast forward to May of 2013, and I have finally completed not one but a total of three albums - just in time for their first anniversary!!

Since the theme this month here at One Crazy Stamper is black and white plus one other color, I've chosen to show you just a few of the pages from the albums.

The professional photographer produced so many beautiful photos, that it was hard to choose just some of the 2300 that she took.

Hearts and Hugs

There is only a couple of days left before Valentine's Day arrives, and I just couldn't resist coloring up this adorable Free Hugs image from Saturated Canary, and making it work as a card for the big day!!! So here's my card for One Crazy Stamper's challenge of Love.

After stamping the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored her with Copics. The image was cut with a Spellbinders die and then attached to the card front, which was also cut with a Spellbinder Grand die. Several heart shaped punchs are used to frame the image, and to compliment the inside of the card. The dp on the inside of the card is from Bo Bunny's Love Letters collection, and the sentiment is an oldie from my stash. A small piece of velcro tape holds the card closed.

This months challenge at One Crazy Stamper is Love, and we would love to see your fabulous creations!

Look Ma, No Stamps!!!

That's right today's card does not include one single stamp, not even the sentiment, and not a drop of Copic coloring!!!
For today's post for One Crazy Stamper I've used just paper, dies, charms and a computer generated sentiment!!

Using this month's challenge sketch and the "Holiday"theme, I've used a couple of dp's from the new Bo Bunny Powder Mountain collection to form the card base. Charms that were purchased from the local big box craft store, and Maya Road twine are mounted on the left side of the card, while the gorgeous tree on the right was cut using Dee's Distinctively Christmas Tree #1 die. The die was coated with Diamond Dust to add a glow!!
Don't forget that this month's challenge at One Crazy Stamper has two different themes for you to participate in - either follow the sketch OR make a "Holiday" theme. There's still lots of time to enter to win a fabulous stamp prize package!!!

Baby Kiki Fairy

Dana here and I've got one of my all time favorite images to share with you today.  I found the artist Mo Manning almost as soon as I started making cards and quickly fell in love with her images. Now many of her most popular images are available in rubber. Case in point, check out Baby Kiki Fairy available through Stampavie:
Even though I've colored her many times before every time I try something new and push myself to improve in some small way. This time I tried to get more realistic baby skin tones and I did that by adding quite a bit of R30 (copics).  I also wanted to try to get the wings to look how I wanted without the use of Stickles. Here's a close up:
After stamping with Memento Ink I used these colors:

I did use a Sakura Stardust pen to add those sparkly bits around her wings and hat. I never noticed before that her lil' hat looks like a strawberry, so that's why I went with the reds.
My patterned papers are from Bo' Bunny. I think the only other touches are my Spellbinders and some flat back pearls. My sentiment is from Amy R of CC Designs.  I don't see that particular set at the moment but LOTS of other cute ones to chose from!!
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you have joined our sketch challenge this month : )
Hugs~

Fall Forever!!!

Hi Everyone...so glad you stopped by the OCS Blog today. I am Lora the owner of OCS, you might just find me posting on the blog every now and again. Today I have made up this 2 page layout using the new Bo Bunny Forever Fall papers...oh gosh I'm in love with them. When this paper arrived in the store some went directly into the Lora stash bin. I thought it would take me forever to get around to being able to use them with the Grand Opening of the new OCS brick and mortar store coming soon...but....I found the time...somehow.

The story behind the pic's.....We have this beautiful chestnut tree in our backyard..okay it's beautiful till the leaves dump in the fall and we need to rake up 12 bags. So we came up with this "Family Tradition" when our daughter was 3 to make it a family leaf raking day. Our son Rian who is 12 years older than his sister didn't think the "Family Tradition" thing was very cool...simply put, to him it was just work! But judging by the pictures I take every year of this little event they have a great time!! This set of pic's goes back to 2008...yes I'm that far behind..even further actually but oh well.

I have used a ton of distressing on this layout along with Goosebumps & Fireworks (Desert Sand Rhubarb Stalk & Rich Cocoa). I also added Frayed Burlap Distress ink to all the edges of the distressed areas. The Goosebumps really adds some wonderful texture and sheen to the paper & I really like that. The ribbon was sprayed with Fireworks as well.

Hope you like it!! Don't forget to check out the awesome Blog Candy we are giving away this month to celebrate my new store opening...you can find it HERE!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Cheers,

Banjo Maya - La La Land Crafts

And a Wonderful Wednesday to all.  Madge here, with a La La Land Crafts image called Banjo Maya.    I must admit, this one had me stumped – but here is what I came up with.
I stamped the image onto Xpress It blend cardstock (especially for copics), and dug in with my copics. C0; C1; C4, W0; BV23; BV25; BV29; BV31; R00; R95; Y18; G07; and BG24.

The Designer Paper is from a BoBunny “Ad Lib” 6 x 6 pad which I thought my Maya needed to brighten her up.

I decided to make a run for crazy colors to change her from drab to “fab”!  lol  When I got finished with the pleats on her dress, I thought she looked drab, so I drew in some polka dots and colored them to match the paper.   Excuse the pun – but Cow-a-bunga!  Just what Maya needed.
Supplies used:  Xpress It Cardstock, copic markers, SU Cardstock, BoBunny DP, Spellbinders Scalloped Circles and Circles dies

PS:  What does a cow wear to a party??  A Moo Moo of course!!  lol

Thanks for looking, and don’t forget to get in on the Fun in the Sun challenge at One Crazy Stamper for the month of August
