I'll Be Home for Christmas!

Wednesday's roll around way too fast for me - but maybe that's because I spend so much time with the three grand babies - hmmmmm!  Anyhow, it's Wednesday again so that means it's time for me to share another sweet image from High Hopes Rubber Stamps newest collection Woodsy Christmas!

This is Cocoa Gnome that I have colored with Copic markers, then added highlights of Sakura white Glaze pen and Viva Decor pearl dots.  The colors of the image match the paper perfectly, which is an older paper from my stash.  A sentiment also from High Hopes Rubber Stamps completes the card!

Card Recipe - E01, E11, E13, E33, E35, E37, R22, R27, R81, R83, R85, B0000, C0, C1, C2, 0, RV34, G40, G43, G46, BG10, BG11, BG13

Hoppy Easter!!!

Wednesday is here again which means it's time for me to showcase an adorable High Hopes Stamp, and in honor of Easter that is just around the corner, here's Bunny in a Bucket!!!

Isn't this just the cutest little bunny and it's been caught stealing the carrots that the gardener just picked!!  The image was stamped with My Favorite Things Cement Grey ink on to Copic Xpress It cardstock - this is my favorite ink to use when I want to do no line coloring!  I colored the image with Copic markers and added details with Prismacolor pencils.  The writing on the bucket was written with a white Sakura Glaze pen, and the carrots lying on the ground were created with Viva Decor Pearl pens in orange and kiwi.  Details on the carrots and the Hoppy Easter sentiment were hand drawn with a Copic Multiliner.

Card Recipe
Copics - E35, E37, E30, E33, E55, E57, E59, T0, T2, Colorless Blender (0), YR15, YR16, YR18, YG21, YG23, YG25 and R20

Heartfelt Sympathy

The most difficult card to make and yet it's the one theme I get asked to create the most - a sympathy card.  Today's card for One Crazy Stamper didn't start out to be a sympathy card, but sometimes the biggest mistakes turn out beautifully.

This image is Hummingbird from High Hopes Stamps and is available to purchase here.  I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored the image with Copic markers.  The hummingbird itself was covered with Wink of Stella clear glitter.  After fussy cutting the image, I adhered it to the card front that I created with one single sheet of patterned paper.  The raised centre was created by carefully cutting the centre of the paper out, matting it and then raising it with pop up dots.  The sentiment is from my stash, and the pearls were created with a Viva Decor cream pearl pen.

Card recipe - Copies - B000, B01, B04, R14, R17, R27, BG72, BG75, BG96, BG90, BG93, YR23, YR27, Wink of Stella Clear, Viva Decor Pearl Pen

Beaver Romance

Wednesday has rolled around again, so it's time for me to highlight a new to me High Hopes rubber stamp for One Crazy Stamper.  This week I am sharing the adorable image "Beavers Romance" available here, which would be a perfect image for Valentine's Day.  The sentiment is also a High Hopes rubber stamp that is available here.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to Copic Xpress It cardstock, then colored with Copics.  Sakura white glaze pen covers the Luvs lettering to give it some shine, and the centers of the flowers are small dots of Viva Decor pearl pen.  The sentiment was stamped with Onyx Black Versafine ink pad on to kraft paper.

Copics - C2, E27, E59, E29, B41, B45, B39, E55, E23, E25, RV13, Y32, YR31, YR21, YR23, R14, R27, R39

A Very Merry Christmas to You!!!

Merry Christmas Eve to All!! My card today features another wonderful Stampendous House Mouse image from One Crazy Stamper.

The image is colored with Copics, and then I used a Sakura Glaze pen to add white highlights. After cutting the image out with a Spellbinders Grand die, I used the gold Viva Décor Pearl Pen to create dimension, and also ran the card base through the Grand Calibur with an M-bossibilites folder. The sentiment is from Just Rite Stamps, stamped with Ranger Distress Ink crushed olive. Here's the colors of Copics that I used -

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the Best in 2014!!!

Christmas Cardinal

Only one more week to go until it's Christmas Eve - where has this year gone!!!  For todays post for One Crazy Stamper I have used the beautiful Christmas Cardinal from Just Rite Stamps.

For this card front, I stamped the image three separate times - the first with brown ink on the gold cardstock which is the base - I cut out the oval in the center of this base to create the opening for the blue background.  The second image was stamped and embossed with brown embossing powder on the same gold cardstock.  After the embossing cooled, I rubbed Old Gold Viva Decor Inka Gold over the raised pattern, then fussy cut the resulting frame which is raised up with pop dots.  The final stamped images are the cardinal and sentiment frame. I colored the cardinal with Copics, fussy cut,  and then attached to the card front.  Sakura's white Glaze pen added the final highlights to the berrries, and the snowflake dots on the blue central oval.

Card Recipe
Reds - R24, R27, R29
Greens - YG93, YG95, YG99
Beak/Feet - E93, E95, E97, E99
Branch - E23, E27

A Cup of Love

The colder weather is definitely here now, with probably more on the way, and today's project for One Crazy Stamper would be an ideal gift for someone special.

I have colored up the High Hopes image "Snowy's Cup" with my Copics, then fussy cut the image and placed it on a little gift bag that I created using my Scor-pal. I used the Martha Stewart Snowflake border punch as a decoration around the base of the bag, and added touches of glittler with a Sakura Clear Star pen, and red berries with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen. The bag is full of hot chocolate mix and a couple of cinnamon sticks to add some extra flavor. The sentiment "Cup of Cocoa" is the perfecrt way to present this gift!

Totally Fintastic Sepia!!!

So for my last post this month here at One Crazy Stamper I've tried a new technique - using just two colors of Prismacolor pencils to create an all Sepia colored image on Kraft cardstock! I first saw the technique on a Designed to Color showcase here, and since I love the sepia look I had to give it a try.
For my first attempt at this technique I think it turned out okay, maybe a little bit darker then I would really like, but practice makes perfect. The image is "Bella" from Whimsy Stamps, that I stamped on kraft cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then used Prismacolor PC938 White and PC 948 Sepia to color the highlights and shadows, and blended the colors together with Gamsol and two blending stumps. The dp is Bo Bunny's Key Lime Making Waves.

You're Special

Hi All;

The past week has been rather quiet, peaceful and relaxing while away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  I definitely like it up in Tobermory as it is a whole different pace; come and go as you please, no rushing anywhere, watching the boats and ducks play in Little Tub Harbour.

Being away has given me time to reflect on the fact, that as a whole we don't always tell someone how special they really are and we should make a point of telling them so.  For my post today for One Crazy Stamper, I have used Huggy Bear from Nellie Snellen and the sentiment from the Wellington Collection by Docrafts.

There is still plenty of time to enter this month's Kraft Challenge at One Crazy Stamper for a chance to win a High Hopes prize pack.  While you are being creative, check out Lora's OCS brick and mortar store as well as the online store for some amazing deals.

A Rose By Any Other Name

I have always adored the images that Sylvia Zet draws, and now her gorgeous images are available as rubber stamps through Whimsy Stamps as Wee Stamps. Her latest release did not disappoint - this lovely "Rosetta" is a delight to color!!!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then used light pastel colors to match the gorgeous designer paper from Authentique's Cherish collection. The image was cut with one of the newest Spellbinders dies - the Decorative Labels Twenty-Two. The edges of all of the designer papers are distressed, and small pearls adorn the corner of the card, which were made with a Lilac Pearl Pen. The antique lace is from my stash.

You still have a couple of days left to enter the challenge here at One Crazy Stamper to win an awesome stamp prize package - the challenge theme this month is Summer Fun!!

Dreaming of Spring

Surprise!!!
As a last minute favor for Design team member Aaemie I get to post another card this week, and it's a bright spring colored card to finally celebrate the arrival of spring here in Alberta. ( Shhhhh, don't say it too loud, or the winter fairies might just decide to return and share a few more flakes of snow - horror!!! )

This adorable little dragon is taking a well deserved nap and dreaming of all of the pretty flowers soon to arrive. I have colored up Dreamy Dragon from Whimsy Stamps artist Sylvia Zet with my Copics, then added Icicle Stickles to the flowers for that extra shimmer and shine. The image was cut and matted with the Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles die. Paper flowers are all from my stash of Prima, while the flower centers are either Kaiser rhinestones, pearls made with the Cream Viva Decor Pearl Pen, or cream Kaiser self adhesive pearls.

Spring is a Day Away!!!!

Tomorrow is the first day of spring, so to celebrate the return of the nicer weather, and the glorious anticipation of flowers I made this bright, cheerful easel card.

This is Bella Sole Collecting Daisies from Whimsy Stamps artist Elizabeth Bell.  I have stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it with Copics.  The image was cut and matted with Spellbinders Label 14, and popped up on the card base that was cut with a Spellbinder Grand Label Four die.  The greenery was cut with both a Memory Box Leafy Branch die, and a Memory Box Madera Corner die, cut apart and layered.

The interior of the easel card features a Spellbinder Tag die with a birthday sentiment, and flowers punched out of yellow vellum.  All of the flower centers are made with the Viva Decor Dark Brown Pearl Pen.
There are still several days left to create a project to enter the challenge here at One Crazy Stamper - the theme is Anything Goes!!

Valentine Sucker

For all of you procrastinators out there, you only have just over a week left until Valentine's Day is here. For today's Terrific Tuesday post at One Crazy Stamper I colored up the Valentines Petals image from Saturated Canary. but I didn't want to use the traditional colors of a valentine card.

Whenever I start to color an image, I always start by choosing my papers, so for this little cutie I choose First Editions Hideaway collection with these bright citrus colors. After the paper is picked, I can then match the Copics for a perfect combination. The sentiment, one of three that are included with the image, was stamped and mounted on a Spellbinder die frame, and the pearls were made with the Viva Decor Salmon Pearl pen.

Icicle Dreams

Okay, today is a surprise post from me - seems lately I have been creating cards at a faster pace than normal, so here's one of my latest.  This super cute image is from Penny Black and the artist Mo Manning and is entitled "Winter Fairy".

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, and then blinged with Icicle Stickles and flocking.  The image was cut with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One, as was the first layer, then all of the layers were placed on a card base created with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals.  The lace and flowers are from my stash, with the centers of the flowers receiving both Icicle Stickles and light blue pearls created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen

The card is one of my favorite styles - an easel - with the inside featuring the same flowers surrounding a sentiment framed with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three die.
