Christmas Cardinal

Only one more week to go until it's Christmas Eve - where has this year gone!!!  For todays post for One Crazy Stamper I have used the beautiful Christmas Cardinal from Just Rite Stamps.

For this card front, I stamped the image three separate times - the first with brown ink on the gold cardstock which is the base - I cut out the oval in the center of this base to create the opening for the blue background.  The second image was stamped and embossed with brown embossing powder on the same gold cardstock.  After the embossing cooled, I rubbed Old Gold Viva Decor Inka Gold over the raised pattern, then fussy cut the resulting frame which is raised up with pop dots.  The final stamped images are the cardinal and sentiment frame. I colored the cardinal with Copics, fussy cut,  and then attached to the card front.  Sakura's white Glaze pen added the final highlights to the berrries, and the snowflake dots on the blue central oval.

Reds - R24, R27, R29
Greens - YG93, YG95, YG99
Beak/Feet - E93, E95, E97, E99

Grandma's Doilies

Hi Everyone! It seems that winter has finally come to the Brampton/Bolton area of Ontario today as it is blowing snow and very windy.

Hope everyone has had fun playing along with the Whimsy stamps and One Crazy Stamper blog hop that started Friday, January 27th. As two prize winners (a stamp set and matching die each) will be chosen on Monday, January 30 there is still time to play along.

For my post today, I have used a border and center set called Grandma's Doilies from Just Rite Stamps. I have used a combination of copic markers and Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pens.

Supplies used:

There are still a couple of days to play this month's challenge which is Red, White + one other colour of your choice. Wednesday, will be the start of a brand new challenge.

Don't forget to check out Lora's store OCS for all the amazing new goodies that are arriving daily.

Backyard Bird

For my post today, I used the Backyard Birds set from Just Rite Stamps. The patterned background paper is from the Gabrielle Collection by BoBunny is amazing. Because of the detail on the paper, I found it hard to come up with the right embellishments. I used the Cream Viva Decor Pearl Pen to fill in the main holes from the Fleur de Lis die cut that the main image rests on.

Supplies used:
All supplies can be purchased from Lora (One Crazy Stamper). Once the brick and mortar store
is opened there will be lots more stuff to play with. Join us in the Recipe card challenge for the month of July for a chance to win an OCS Gift Card.

Just Right Stamper - Light House

It's Tuesday so that means it my turn at bat to show you some of the wonderful items you can find at One Crazy Stamper!  One again I've used this amazing set from Just Rite Stampers - By the Sea.
This set is so amazing and versatile. You get four different scenes and 4 different borders for endless variations.  If you are new to Just Rite Stamps this is one of the originals and requires the Wooden Oval Stamper which provides perfect stamping time after time!
I used Staz-On ink this time because I opted for watercoloring this image for a nice change. I used a variety of oval and scallop nestabilities for layering the focal image. The edges and sentiment have all been distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Broken China.

Hugs~

Just Right Stamper

Dana here and it's my turn to show you some more of the gorgeous stamps available at One Crazy Stamper and encourage you to join us in our Boys and Men (or is it Men and Boys.. oh well!) Challenge. You don't want to miss the chance to win a

For today's card I used a stamp from Just Rite called "By the Sea Borders and Centers".

Here's a close up:
Don't forget if you pick up some of these stamps to also get the wooden stamper to go with it.
I stamped my watercolor paper with Staz-On ink in black. The stamp was colored very quickly with my watercolor paints but you could get the same look using Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  Then the only thing left to do was to cut it out with my Spellbinders Nestabilities Oval. One thing I tend to overlook mentioning is my glue or adhesive! I love my Pro Glider gun!! And my other stand by is X-Press It tape!! Love both of these products.

Can't wait to see what you make for the men in your life ;
Hugs,
