Glory to!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!  I hope that today finds you healthy, happy and surrounded by those you love!!
For today's post, I have once again combined both challenge themes to make this wonderful card celebrating the special meaning of today's holiday!

This sweet Whimsy stamp image is called "Christmas Choir Boy" and I've colored him and his singing companions with Copics.  The dp is from Authentique's Festive collection, the treble clef is a Memory Box die, and the sentiment is from Whimsy stamps Holiday Notables 1.

There are still a few days left to enter the challenge here to win three wonderful stamps, so click on the link at the top of this blog to see all the details.

Clean and Simple Sketch Card

Terrific Tuesday time is here again, and for today's card for One Crazy Stamper, I have again combined the challenge sketch and the "Holiday" theme to create my card!!!
If I haven't mentioned it before, I absolutely love the adorable Lulu images from Kraftin' Kimmie, and this little sweetheart is from the Holiday Lulu and Libby stamp set! I have colored her with Copics, then mounted her on paper from the Carta Bella Winter Fun collection. The sentiment is also from the Carta Bella collection, while the twine and snowflake brads are from my stash. The edges of the papers were all inked with Rangers Antique Linen distress ink.
Don't forget to check out the challenge here at One Crazy Stamper and then get creative and enter to win a fabulous set of stamps!!

Look Ma, No Stamps!!!

That's right today's card does not include one single stamp, not even the sentiment, and not a drop of Copic coloring!!!
For today's post for One Crazy Stamper I've used just paper, dies, charms and a computer generated sentiment!!

Using this month's challenge sketch and the "Holiday"theme, I've used a couple of dp's from the new Bo Bunny Powder Mountain collection to form the card base. Charms that were purchased from the local big box craft store, and Maya Road twine are mounted on the left side of the card, while the gorgeous tree on the right was cut using Dee's Distinctively Christmas Tree #1 die. The die was coated with Diamond Dust to add a glow!!
Don't forget that this month's challenge at One Crazy Stamper has two different themes for you to participate in - either follow the sketch OR make a "Holiday" theme. There's still lots of time to enter to win a fabulous stamp prize package!!!

It's the last Tuesday of the Month......

...and that means that it's time for my post here at One Crazy Stamper!!!
This adorable image is from Nellie Snellen and is entitled "Hokey Pokey". To color the image I started by choosing paper from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection, and then matching my colors to the colors in the paper. The image was matted and layered onto two papers from the MME collection, the flowers were airbrushed with Copic colors to match the dp, and the sentiment and lace are from my stash.

A Wee Bit of Holly

Tuesday is here again, so for this week's project for One Crazy Stamper I have colored up the adorable "Holly" from Wee Stamps by Whimsy Stamps.

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress it cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copics.  Crystal stickles add an extra glimmer to the wings, snow, and bells on the image.  The dp is from last years Bo Bunny Father Christmas collection, flowers are from Wild Orchid and the sentiment is from Waltzingmouse.

Icicle Dreams

Okay, today is a surprise post from me - seems lately I have been creating cards at a faster pace than normal, so here's one of my latest.  This super cute image is from Penny Black and the artist Mo Manning and is entitled "Winter Fairy".

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, and then blinged with Icicle Stickles and flocking.  The image was cut with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One, as was the first layer, then all of the layers were placed on a card base created with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals.  The lace and flowers are from my stash, with the centers of the flowers receiving both Icicle Stickles and light blue pearls created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen

The card is one of my favorite styles - an easel - with the inside featuring the same flowers surrounding a sentiment framed with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three die.

Holiday Sweets

It's Terrific Tuesday here at One Crazy Stamper, so that means it's my turn to show you a project! Since the challenge theme for this month is Anything Goes, I have not made a card today, but instead made a candle for Christmas giving.
The image is an adorable House Mouse stamp called Christmas Cookie Eaters, that I stamped with Staz on ink on to tissue paper, then colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The edges around the image were torn and inked with a Gathered Twigs Distress Ink pad. The sprinkles on the cookies were colored with Siren, Gold Lame, and Luscious Lime Smooch metallic paint accents to add a shimmer to the image. The candle was finished with a braided ribbon trim from my stash.

To Go Please........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a special card for ONE OF THOSE DAYS!!!! You all know what kind of day I'm referring to, and we have all had at least one of those days ourselves, so when I saw this new stamp from Art Impressions I knew that it would be perfect to have a few cards with the image and sentiment on hand!
The set "All Tied Up" and "To Go" are colored with Copics, fussy cut and mounted on some of last year's Bo Bunny Zoology collection of papers.

You still have a couple of weeks left to enter to win the challenge here at One Crazy Stamper - the theme this month is a color challenge using Kraft, Red and Black.  So get your favorite coloring medium out, or make a scrapbook page using the theme, and enter to win!!!!

Shiver Me Timbers!!!

Here's another card that fits this month's challenge theme of Kraft, Red and Black.  This is High Hopes "The Thundering Rogue" available here at OCS.

I stamped the image with Versa Mark embossing ink and used black embossing powder to heat emboss the image.  Using only three colors of Prismacolor pencils ( black , crimson red, and light umber ), and Gamsol with Tortillons I colored and blended out the colors to give shadows and highlights.  The sentiment is from an older Kraftin' Kimmie sentiment set, and to finish off the edges on the card front I used Tim Holtz's Black Soot Distress Ink Pad.

Well Behaved!!!

Here she is - the last of the four images featuring Kraftin Kimmie's July Release of movie superstars. This is "Lana"!!!!
As usual, she is colored with Copics, then cut and matted with Spellbinders Label 4 dies, including the Grand dies set. The sentiment is included with the image and is highlighted with bright pink ink. I also used the Sakura Star Dust pen to add sparkles to her dress. The dp's are from My Mind's Eye Meadowlark, and American Crafts Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection. Rhinestones and the decorative button are from my stash.

Twinkling Stars!!!

Terrific Tuesday time again for One Crazy Stamper and I have the third of four cards that I have finished using the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps from the July release, and the ongoing theme for this month's bingo challenge! ( This uses the diagional line of pink & black, die cuts/punches and ribbon/twine ).
This is "Marilyn" and is available to purchase here.

The image is colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped up on the card front dp from My Mind's Eye. The stars were punched with Martha Stewart's Anywhere punch and the black ribbon border is a die from Marianne Designs. All of the stars received a coat of Icicle Stickles to make them twinkle!! ( and yes the same color of stickles were used on the white stars and the black stars on the sentiment ).

Classy and Fabulous!!!

Terrific Tuesday is here again, and I have another fabulous card to show you today that uses the challenge Bingo theme.  This card has the colors Pink/Black, Flowers, and Swirls - all from the first vertical line of the Bingo.

"Katherine" from Kraftin' Kimmie was stamped with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, then colored with Copics.  After fussy cutting her, I popped her up on the card front featuring the sentiment included with the image, stamped on silver matte foil paper with Tsukeniko Staz On Jet Black ink.  The sentiment was framed with a Marianne Designs die cut from black suede paper, and highlighted with Viva Decor Anthracite pearls.  The swirls were cut with either Memory Box's Elegant Scrollwork or Cheery Lynn's Mega Flourish Two.  The flowers were from my stash.
Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to enter the Bingo challenge this month!!

Treats for a Special Pony

Great minds think alike, or at least choose the same stamp to feature at One Crazy Stamper. Madge, a fellow dt member, featured this cute image a couple of weeks ago, and now here's my version of the same image.
This is Whimsy Stamps artist Crissy Armstrong's "Good Pony" image, which I have colored with Copics. The pony's eye and the red apple both received a coat of Diamond Glaze, and then I cut the image out with Spellbinders Label 25. After cutting the image out, I noticed that the shape resembles that of a belt buckle, so for the mat I inked up a Cuttlebug embossing folder with black, and used the folder like a letterpress. After embossing, I ran a Tsukineko Silver Metallic ink pad over the raised parts of the mat, creating the look of a metal belt buckle. The brown cardstock behind the buckle represents the belt itself.

Who Loves Cinnamon?

Terrific Tuesday is here again, the skies above are clear again, so let's sing a song of cheer again, Happy Days are here again!!!
Thank goodness you can't hear my singing right now - it would probably scare you away if you could!!  Summer is here and this sweet little girl has packed up her picnic basket with a bounty of her special Cinnamon Sugar cupcakes!!  Wouldn't you love to join her?
This is Whimsy Stamps Cinnamon Sugar from artist Elisabeth Bell, which I have colored with Copics.  I have layered several sizes of Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles Small and the Grand Scalloped Circles to make this adorable easel card.  The dp is from the Hello Sunshine collection by Bo Bunny, and the flourishes are Memory Box's Elegant Scrollwork die.  The center circle on the inside is also a Spellbinder die, and the felt flowers are from my stash.

Who's the Winner and a Tutorial

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday at One Crazy Stamper, and as promised last week, the winner of the prize of the two Stampavie stamps as chosen by Random.org is ............
#7 - Wendance Designs
Congratulations, please contact me at s.mclaughlin8@shaw.ca so I can get your prize to you.

This week I have a tutorial about coloring skin with Copic markers. When I color with Copics I always start with the lightest color covering approximately 60% of the area, leaving the highlight area blank. Using the middle color I recolor about 40% of the already colored area, and then finish with the darkest shade on 10% of the same area.
After the three colors are applied, blend them all together using the lightest color.
The following diagram shows some of my favorite color combinations for skin tones.

I have listed the colors that I have used for each skin tone, but there are many others options - what is your favorite skin color combination? Do some experimenting with different color combinations and step outside of the box - you never know until you try, what wonderfully colorful results you can achieve!!!! Have fun playing!!!
( PS. Don't look too closely at my coloring on this page, as I knew that it was only to show you differnt skin tones, so I was not at all careful about going over the lines!!!!! )
Wishing you all a very happy day!!

Dream...... and a Giveaway!!

Good morning everybody!!! As I post this it is in the early hours of the new day , and as usual I'm up late working on new projects, but most of all I had a wonderful evening coloring with some very special friends!!!
It's Terrific Tuesday time here at One Crazy Stamper, and my card features a sweet Stampavie image by Penny Johnson entitled "Sweet Dreams".
The image is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, then colored with Copics, with the light source being the candle. Dp is from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found - Sunshine collection, the doilies are inked with either Walnut Stain, or Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, and the ribbon is from my stash. An Impression Obsession Clear Rubber Stamp set "Dare to Dream" provides the sentiment.
Before I joined the dt for One Crazy Stamper I was lucky enough to be a guest designer and I created this card -
The image "Storybook Friends" is also from Stampavie, and as a special little surprise, One Crazy Stamper has provided this image for me to give away this week. As an added bonus, I will also send the winner the stamp used to make this weeks card, so if you would like to win please leave a comment on my post today.  The winner will be announced on my post next Tuesday.

Honey Days!!!!

Time for Terrific Tuesday here at One Crazy Stamper and this week I just could not resist coloring these two adorable images from CC Designs!!

This is Honey Bee-trice and Woodland Daisy colored with Copics in a most unusual color combination for a cute little bee. I stamped and colored Honey twice, so that one of the images could be fussy cut and popped up on the original image. The antennae and flower center have been flocked, wings have a coat of Smooch Top Coat Illuminate paint to make them shimmer, and the small flower centers and dots on the sentiment were highlighted with Stickles Fruit Punch. The dp is from Teresa Collins Sweet Afternoon collection, while the bakers twine and flower are from my stash. The white spots on her cheeks are done with Copics Opaque White paint.

You still have lots of time to enter for a chance to win a fabulous prize here at the One Crazy Stampers challenge blog, by following the monthly theme which is a Sketch. "NAP" Time

I LOVE Art Impressions images and the newest release has not disappointed!!!
So for this weeks One Crazy Stamper project, I have used an AI People image "Power Napper Set".

As usual I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock and colored it with Copics. No fussy cutting this time, unless you count her feet sticking out of the frame!! Spellbinders Label Two was used to cut the image out, as well as to frame it. I stamped the included sentiment repeatedly on to the dp from My Mind's Eye Fiddlesticks collection, with Versafine Onyx Black ink - the repeating seems to reflect the sentiment - stress, chaos and mayhem. The card is a gate fold with black sheer ribbon tying it closed, and Viva Decor pearls accenting it.

Yummy for the Tummy!!!

It's terrific Tuesday again!!! Where does the time go? One Crazy Stamper's theme for the monthly challenge is.... drum roll please...Mothers!!!!

I've colored up another Kraftin' Kimmie image, "Rescue Ranger" with Copics, then layered her on three dp's from Simple Stories Fabulous collection and Bazzill Vintage Pink cardstock. The sentiment is included with the image, and the pearls were made with a Light Green Viva Decor Pearl Pen.
