Haunted House

Hi All,

For this Halloween card, I used this stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie called Haunted House as the main focal  point.  I added Spooktacular from Your Next Stamp and the sentiment was from Got Candy, Trick or Treat set also from Your Next Stamp.

I coloured Spooktacular with C00-No. 00 and then used the colourless blender to lighten it a bit. Both Spooktacular and the Haunted House were fuzzy cut.  The Spooky Tree die was put slightly behind the Haunted House.

Supplies used:
There are still a couple more days to enter this month's acetate / clear elements challenge.  All of the above products are available at One Crazy Stamper.  See you Thursday, for a brand new challenge.

The leaves of the tree were highlighted with a Flower Soft mixed color.

Twinkling Stars!!!

Terrific Tuesday time again for One Crazy Stamper and I have the third of four cards that I have finished using the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps from the July release, and the ongoing theme for this month's bingo challenge! ( This uses the diagional line of pink & black, die cuts/punches and ribbon/twine ).
This is "Marilyn" and is available to purchase here.

The image is colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped up on the card front dp from My Mind's Eye. The stars were punched with Martha Stewart's Anywhere punch and the black ribbon border is a die from Marianne Designs. All of the stars received a coat of Icicle Stickles to make them twinkle!! ( and yes the same color of stickles were used on the white stars and the black stars on the sentiment ).

Classy and Fabulous!!!

Terrific Tuesday is here again, and I have another fabulous card to show you today that uses the challenge Bingo theme.  This card has the colors Pink/Black, Flowers, and Swirls - all from the first vertical line of the Bingo.

"Katherine" from Kraftin' Kimmie was stamped with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, then colored with Copics.  After fussy cutting her, I popped her up on the card front featuring the sentiment included with the image, stamped on silver matte foil paper with Tsukeniko Staz On Jet Black ink.  The sentiment was framed with a Marianne Designs die cut from black suede paper, and highlighted with Viva Decor Anthracite pearls.  The swirls were cut with either Memory Box's Elegant Scrollwork or Cheery Lynn's Mega Flourish Two.  The flowers were from my stash.

Alice in Glitterland!!

Welcome to my first ever tutorial for One Crazy Stamper!!
This is going to be a long post, so grab a cup of coffee or tea, sit back, relax, and learn how to do the fabulous burnished velvet technique with micro fine glitter, that I have used for the front of my card!!  The image and sentiment are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps "Alice in Wonderland" stamp, colored with Copics then fussy cut, and popped up on the glittered card front.

You will need the following items to get started - paper of your choice for the front of your card, Glitter Ritz ( I used Canadian Blue, Sky Blue, Purple, Rose, Grasshopper, and Silver ) in the colors of your choice, Scor Tape, large makeup brush, punches, fine tip tweezers, glitter clean up cloth, saved Scor tape white cover paper, and scissors.

Adhere the Scor Tape to the paper that will be the front of your card by removing the brown backing paper from the tape.  Remove the white cover paper and save for later use.  Do not touch the sticky tape with your fingers, as the oil from your hands will affect the adhesive and may cause the finished glitter to appear blotchy.

Using saved pieces of the white cover paper from the Scor Tape, punch out any shapes that you want to use, and then using the tweezers carefully apply these shapes to the front of the card.  Make sure to rub the punched pieces down on to the exposed sticky tape to prevent the glitter from adhering under the punches.  You must use the saved pieces of the white cover paper as any other product will not release from the sticky tape.

Again using saved Scor Tape pieces, cut out the center where you do not want the glitter, and adhere over the sticky tape.  Pour the first color of glitter over the sticky tape, this will be the main color of your card front.  Using your fingers rub (burnish) the glitter into the sticky tape until the entire card front is covered.  Remove the excess glitter by shaking it off and using the make up brush.
Carefully peel off the large piece of Scor Tape cover paper, cut it into strips, and then replace some of those strips, apply different glitter colors using the same method as above.  Repeat until the card front is totally covered.

To finish the card front, remove the punched shapes with tweezers, cover with the last color of glitter, burnish, shake off excess, and surprise - you have completed a beautiful burnished card front!!
I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial, and that you will try out this stunning technique as I know that you will love the finished project!!
You still have 10 days to enter the monthly challenge at One Crazy Stamper to win a fabulous prize, so get creative, and play with us!
Have a wonderful day!!

Chillin' With My Friends ~ Shaker Card Tutorial

Today I'm sharing a tutorial on Shaker Cards for One Crazy Stamper.

For my card I used Chillin' With My Friends stamp set from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.

Scor-Tape, Copic Markers, Glitter.

My tip:  Recycle acetate from your packaging for your windows!
Tip #2: Angling the tape in the corners helps reduce the amount of glitter used and helps seal your seams so you don't sprinkle glitter when you shake your card!

I attach my taped layer over my image panel/glitter on a craft mat to avoid things sticking where they should not stick!

Then simply finish your card as you wish!  I embellished my card with a Martha Stewart Icelandic Snowflake Punch.

Have a Jolly Good Day!!!

It's time for my Sunday post here at OCS. I have used another amazing stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie called Elaine. The sentiment that comes with this stamp set is "Have a Jolly Good Day!" and I hope everyone is having one; which has me wishing that I could take a trip to Jolly Old England. Maybe one day soon.

Supplies used:

The cardstock that I used for the card base is core'dinations which can be sanded. This particular piece had embossed butterflies and turned red when sanded. A very cool effect.

Do join our challenge this month which is Red, White + one other colour of your choice for a chance to win a stamp set from OCS. While you are creating your project, check out all the amazing new goodies that are arriving at Lora's store OCS.
