...You're The Tricera - "TOPS"...

Welcome back OCS fans;

February is generally know as the month of love and romance and the history of Valentine's Day goes back as far as the middle ages.

So in keeping with this month's "Anything Goes" theme I have used an older High Hopes Stamps, that can be used for Valentine's Day or not.  I stamped this cute Tricera-Tops Dino with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured him with copic markers.

Supplies used:
Do play along with this month's "Anything Goes" challenge.  We would love to see what you create.  For any supplies that you might need, don't forget to check out Lora's OCS store for some great products.  While you are browsing, don't forget to check out the PreOrder Section for some great new products that will be available soon.

Until next time, happy crafting.

Slider Die Tutorial

Hello everyone!  I have a card and step by step instructions to show you how to make a slider card using the new Slider Die and Stackers stamps from Art Impressions.  Here is what the card looks like when the recipient receives it:
Then you pull down the tab.....
And hiding underneath is the Dog Stackers stamped image:
I had a great time colouring this with my Copics - I had to figure out each breed as I went along (it's pretty obvious here, but when it's just in black and white, it's not so easy!)  I actually Googled "Pomeranian" so that I'd know how to colour him up!  Here's how I put my card together:
The slider measures 2" x 5" assembled, and I chose to cut mine out of patterned paper.  I cut my rectangle with the Dog Stackers image to be a little smaller, so that it would fit underneath (it's 1 3/4" x 4 5/8").
I assembled my card base, and folded the edges of the die cut, ready to glue it down.
I made my pull tab out of the same cardstock as my base, it measures 1 3/4" x 5 1/4".  I used a circle die to round off the end, stapled on a bit of ribbon to make it easy to pull, and added a couple of Spellbinder's arrow die cuts to indicate that the recipient should pull it down.
I glued down the top edge of my diecut, then made sure the puppies were centered underneath, and glued them both down.  I positioned the blue circle under the image, as I knew how I wanted the sentiment to sit on the finished card.
And there you have a seriously cute card for the dog lovers in your life.  *There are five different Stacker stamps (Elephants, ducks, cats, dogs & turtles) each come with a sentiment, and the die is sold separately.  You could easily use the stamps on their own without the die, but the die could have SO many other uses.  How about using it sideways with a message on the pull tab, and another message hidden underneath?  (Like a joke & a punch line?)  Or you could use any stamp that fits as the hidden image.  I've also seen the pull tab done with a small circle cut out at the top - so that just the Chiuaua would be peeking out.  Grab the die while you can, and I'd love to see what you come up with! (*Note that the die & stamps are still on preorder at the time the post went live - I will update the link when they're in the store!)

Antiques Window

I hope you all enjoyed the eye candy displayed by the OCS Design Team on yesterday's post - we hope you'll join our July Challenge by linking up your creations!  I've gone from doing a totally summery card yesterday, to an almost fall-like one today!  I've been itching to use the Antiques Window stamp from Art Impressions, and to me, it was crying out to be coloured up in fall tones:

I wanted to show off the patterned paper as much as possible, so I made a floating frame around the image and popped them both up with pop dots.

Seniorita Gloria

Hello everyone!  I seem to be in a "bright" phase this week...it helps chase away the winter blahs!!  I am sharing a card using Stamping Bella's Seniorita Gloria, and I reached for my Doodlebug Springtime papers again...
I popped her up with some pop dots, then added a few enamel dots and some Baker's Twine.  I keep my cards fairly graphic & simple, so I opted to put the sentiment on the inside:

Here's a closeup of Gloria:

That's it for me for the month of April!  I'll see you in early May for my next post.  Don't forget that our challenge this month is "Anything Goes!"  You may use any stamped image for your card or project (no digis, please!) you can link up your creation here.

Better Together

Good Wednesday morning!  I hope you are having a wonderful day so far and that it just keeps getting better and better.  On a personal note, last Saturday being National Scrapbook Day, I was able to attend part of the crop that One Crazy Stamper had.  It was a pleasure meeting more of my design team sisters and I hope I will be able to see them again in the future.  Now, back to business....

I needed an anniversary card for this week so I inked up an older image, backed it with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die and added some flowers (which just happens to be our current challenge for the month..click HERE for all the details).
