Non Holiday Kraftin Kimmie

Hi All,

I had a birthday card to make and I wanted it to be as far away from holiday colors as possible!  Used the adorable Rosabelle from Kraftin Kimmie.

Hope you enjoyed the non-holiday post!  Have a wonderful week!

Ryder Cole

Hi All!

This has been a very busy few months over here!!!!  This is my last weekend to get studying because next week I have all of my finals.  Whew!  I was able to sneak away and get a little crafting done!  It was much needed!

I keep grabbing this image!  I love it!  It is perfect for teens and I NEVER can think of anything for them!  I love Ryder Cole!  He really just makes the card come alive all by himself!  I used some fun paper in my stash and used those SUPER cool mini screw brads that are in the store!

Enjoy your week!

High Hopes Cat Trio

Hi All!

Hope you are having a fabulous week!  I am enjoying a few days off from school but I still have stacks and stacks of books and papers to get through!  I will be very, very happy when this school semester is over so I can spend some quality time with my stamps!

Today I have a very simple card!  I needed a flat note card type card that would fit easily in the mail.  I used Cat Trio from High Hopes.

If I am sending something through the mail I very rarely use pop ups or bulky embellishments because they are sooooo much harder to mail.

Enjoy!

SC Queenie and Princess

Hi All,

Have you seen the adorable Saturated Canary line of stamps?  These are pretty new to me but the first time I saw these I knew I HAD to add them to my stamp collection!  They are soooo cute!  I used the Queenie and Princess image.  Love how sweet and girly this image is!  I colored with my copics and added a hint of lace and some dots to finish off the card.  Enjoy!

Kraftin Tinkerbell

Hi All!

It has started to get super cold here!  Of course California cold is pretty mild but it hasn't helped that I have had that nasty cold that has gone around!  I have had it for over a week.  Usually I can just take a day and work through it but this one has had me down since last Thursday!  I did find time to play with the adorable Kraftin Kimmie Tinkerbell though.

I did keep it pretty simple and it is hard to tell in the photo but I added some really pretty shimmer to her wings.

Enjoy this months challenge of anything goes!

Picture Perfect

Hi All,

This image reminds me of one of my best friends!  Whenever we go out I can expect her to say "SMILE!" and the pictures on facebook in a matter of minutes!  It makes me laugh because it is so her!  I think this will probably be us in another 20-30 years with her still yelling "smile!"

I used Art Impressions Picture Perfect.  I tried to make it look like a Polaroid with the black matting.  I colored with copics and kept it simple with just the image.

Hope you enjoyed!  You have a few more days to get in on this months clear/acetate challenge.

YNS Fall Inspiration

Hi All,

I was in the fall mood the other day! It finally cooled off and now it is back to super hot!  So to hopefully get the message out there that I would like to wear my sweaters I had to use this super cute Your Next Stamp, Life is Great image.

I made an easel card and used the blossom nestabilities and circle nesties!  Super easy to cute images out that way!  I had some leaf paper in my stash and it was great with the colors of the image!

Hope you enjoy!

Double the Fun!

Hi All!

Well I have two cards to share with you today!  I was unable to post with all of the other talented ladies on the design team due to the loss of a close friend of my husbands but I still wanted to participate in this months challenge!

This months challenge was to use clear or acetate.  I used acetate as the card base!  Such a fun way to make the basic square card!  I used the adorable Walkabout Wallie.  I also used MFT Dienamics for the grass.

My next card uses Ryder Cole.  I love these images because they are great for the in between masculine group.  I used MFT Dienamics for the chevron pattern.  I also used the fun brads in the store that look like screws.

Art Impressions Party Girls

Hi All,

I had sooooo much fun doing today's card!  It was one of those that felt easy.....Believe me, some of these cards just don't want to flow!  I used the super cute Art Impressions Party Girls!  The set comes with some great sentiments that are very versatile and can be used with soooo many different images!  I also used Memento Black to stamp my image and copics to color.  I had some scraps of some fun paper in my stash that I used with some larger 10mm brads!

Rosabelle

Hi All,

I am trying to get whatever summer colors I can before the fall and Christmas colors take over my stamp table!  I used the super cute Rosabelle from Kraftin Kimmie.  I used the star circle Nestabilities.  I also used the Loopy Bloom and the open edge Dienamic from My Favorite Things.  This is one of my all time favorite images because I absolutely LOVE coloring her!

Only a week left to play in the months One Crazy Stamper challenge!  Have a great week!

High Hopes BBQ Dragon

Hi All!

I love, love, love this high hopes dragon.  I find myself reaching for him all the time.  He is my go to little guy for guy cards.  His name is Flame Broilin!  Isn't that the cutest name!  As always I used my memento tuxedo black ink.  love, love this stuff.  It is my go to black ink!

I also used some clearsnaps smooches paint to paint the glitter on his apron and hat.  It adds just a little something extra.  I had some wooden buttons in my stash and wanted to add something to the edges.  I finished those off with some twine.

Fairy Tale Bug

Hi All,

Oh wow is it super busy!  School starts on Monday for me and textbooks are NO joke!  Plus I have been redoing my stamp room/office/study area and I have ikea boxes all over my house!  Hopefully it will look how I am picturing in my head!  I am realizing how much craft stuff I do have though!

I used fairy tale bug on my card today because school is definitely on my mind.  I wanted to color him different and used all kinds of colors on him.  Of course I used my copics.

I kept it really simple with some twine!

Enjoy!

Fall Colored Chloe

Hi All,

Have you ever colored an image and absolutely LOVED how it turned out???  I did and look at her!  I love how the shading of her hair turned out!  I used Chloe by Elizabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.  I stamped her using memento black and colored her with my copics.  I used Blossom Nestabilities and cut her out and with the image still in the nestie I sponged some memento green ink around the edges to give it a little depth.  I paper pierced around the edges (HUGE tip is to adhere ALL of the top layers together--not the base--and paper pierce through there and then use pop dots so you don't squash your pokes)

Have a great week!

Flame Broilin Tutorial

Hi All!

I have a FUN and EASY tutorial for you today!  I love this adorable High Hopes image called Flame Broilen.   I knew as soon as I saw this image I wanted to use foil.  As in aluminum foil for cooking!  I figured since it is so flexible it would probably hold a shape!

I started by stamping my image as I usually do.  If I am coloring with copics I ALWAYS use Memento Black.  Never, ever, ever smears!

 Here is my image colored.

Here are the copics I used.

I have used foil before and I like to use heavy duty because the shape stays better.

I usually just rip a sheet off then I place in my embossing folder (you can use ANY embossing folder-I have not tried an impression plate so since that is a lighter impression I am not sure how that will work).

Once it is embossed I gently trim the edges in my table top trimmer.  DO NOT push down very hard because you can flatten the shape right out!

I don't use my tape runner on the foil but I do use glue dots on the paper I am attaching it too.  I also used a brad this time to keep my place.  I used some of the cool new brads that the store carries!  They look like screws!

Once everything is attached I completed the rest of my card!  Isn't this a cool effect and super awesome for the men!  A very cheap way to make your own patterned paper too cause a 50 foot roll was only a few dollars!
I hope you enjoyed and I can not wait to see what everyone makes!  If you use this tutorial definitely link in the comments I would love to see what you have done!

Magic High Hopes

Hi All!

I don't know about you, but I have THE WORST time coming up with creative ideas for masculine/boy cards!  I don't want to add too much because I am worried it might look girly!  What does help is fun images that work well with masculine cards. High Hopes has a bunch of great images that are perfect for boy cards!  I used Henry the Great by High Hopes.  I colored the image with copics and I always use memento tuxedo black.

Hope you enjoyed the card and see you next week!

High Hopes-Henry the Great

For the last day and a half I have been looking for my USB cable for my camera....I needed the photos off of there, especially my card photos for today.  I still can not find it but all of a sudden I realized I could insert my memory card into my laptop and download that way.  Stressing for nothing :)  OK so I think my card is perfect for this situation because I feel like I pulled the rabbit out of the hat getting my card posted!

I used High Hopes Henry the Great!  All I saw was bright bunnies when I saw this image!  I find it hard to make boy cards because I don't make very many boy cards so I try to stick to primary colors.  Also, for the black suit I used the C gray's so it is not too dark.

Hope you enjoyed!

High Hopes Garden

Hi All,

Well we had super hat weather last weekend where I live (over a hundred) and I was really getting worried about this weekend because I am participating in Relay for Life.  This is a 24 hour event that is put on by the American Cancer Society.  But thank goodness the weather is looking to be a beautiful 76!  That is PERFECT weather and I am excited to be out there for the event.  Of course with the hot weather I was able to stay cool in the A/C and craft.  I used the adorable High Hopes Garden of Life stamp set.  I love to color so this image is right up my alley!

Hope you enjoyed!  Have a wonderful week!

MFT Rainbow will come

Hi All,

I used a super cute stamp My Favorite Things--The Rainbow Will Come.  I love how much fun it was to paper piece!

I used copics and colored directly on the Kraft Paper.  Kraft does change the color a bit so I would recomend printing out a copic sheet on kraft as well as the white paper you use so you can get a true color match.

Have a great week!

High Hopes Garden

Hi All,

Soooooo sorry for the late posting!  I thought I had scheduled this and with all of the blogger problems I try to check the next day and glad I did because their was no post from me!  But I'm here!

I used Garden of Life by High Hopes!  I was a little scared when I started to color but it was soooo easy and fun! Their are soooo many different options to color and I am thinking trying watercolor next with this adorable image.

Today of course I used copics!

Hope you enjoy!

Pink and Black Key to my Heart

Hi All!

Only a few days left to enter this months challenge for Mothers!  There have been some fabulous entries!  I used MFT-A La Mode-Key to my heart for my card!  I am hopelessly addicted to this stamp and keep turning to it for cards!!!

I love using Pink and Black together!  So girly but elegant too!

I of course colored with copics and I had to give her a little black dress!

Have a great week!
