Couples Cruise

It's Monday and I'm back to post on the blog and where we are continuing the June Birthday theme. This probably doesn't seem like a typical birthday card but the inside of it does have a birthday sentiment and it's for a friend who is going on a cruise to celebrate her 50th birthday.

Happy Bird Day!

Hello Everyone! I'm happy to be sharing another fabulous Sunday with you and the fine stamps of High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

This year happens to be a milestone birthday year. Which means, many of my friends are celebrating the same magical number. One of them is going to get a smile on their birthday face when this Birthday Buzzard lands in their mailbox!

The image was paired with the Happy Bird Day sentiment. This sentiment is straight, but has enough spacing that you can chop it up to make it work with the space you have available. Here, I thought it needed a quick hit of color, so I used my distress crayon to give it a matching hue.

Don't forget that the One Crazy Stamper team posts daily inspiration here on the One Crazy Stamper blog, so don't forget to stop by often!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Sweet Birthday Wishes

July is a big month for Birthday's in my family. I have more masculine cards then feminine to make for adults and young adults. Masculine cards are always a challenge for me but I think "Sweet Thing" is perfect for one of my younger card recipients.

After colouring up this fun ant with his huge cupcake with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. I found a paper combination from YNS and Lawn Fawn that I liked and put my design together. The sentiment was stamped and cut with a fishtail banner die. I added a piece of matching fish tail flag banner to add a fun element. Lastly I added the stamped and coloured image using foam pop dots.
Some simple gumdrops finish off my card. Here's hoping one of my nephews enjoys their Birthday card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Sweet Thing - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Birthday Wishes - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Summer Plaid - YNS, Spiffy Speckles - Lawn Fawn

It's Pasture Birthday!

Welcome One Crazy Stamper Fans!

It’s Wednesday, and I’m back to share a card that I made using Farmer Clem (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) on the front of the card and Charlie Party Cow (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) on the inside. A friend asked me to create her a belated birthday card for her farmer friend and I thought this made the perfect combination to do it.

I coloured in Farmer Clem (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and then fussy cut around him and popped him up on the front of the card. All of the sentiments were created in Microsoft Word and then printed out on my printer. Details are below.

For the inside of my card, I stamped the Charlie Party Cow (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) twice and then fussy cut around both of the cows to make it look like they had a party going on. I popped up the one cow image to give the scene a little bit of depth.

Go Bananas!

Hello To Everyone!
For my post today, I'd like you to meet "Large Monkey Mike" from High Hopes Stamps! Isn't he just a sweetie?!! When I saw Mike I knew I wanted to have him swinging from the trees.
I used my new MFT Interactive Swing die to make "Large Monkey Mike" appear to be swinging in the palm trees. You need to cover up the swing element and allow room for it to "swing". I decided to cut some palm leaves in two sizes using my Cameo and a svg file. Then I took a piece of the same colour as the leaves and glued them on top to hide it. This way I had a piece I could mount with foam tape to hide and allow the swinging action. I created the background using some water-colour paper and Ken Oliver Colour Burst powders. I inked all the edges of the card and palm leaves with some Vintage Photo ink for added dimension. I used the HH "Swinging Birthday" sentiment and masked it off to only use the top half of the sentiment.
On the inside I used more of the Ken Oliver Powders and a straw to make it match the outside colours. I love the fun HH sentiment called "Go Bananas" that I used on the inside. I also fussy cut out a banana from it to add to Mike's hand on the outside.
Here's a short clip of "Large Monkey Mike" in his swinging action!
Copics Used:
Monkey: E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
Banana: Y32, Y35, YG93, YG95

Thanks for "swinging by" today!
Happy Stamping!

Springtime Joy

It's Monday again which means it's my day to post on the One Crazy Stamper blog and with a new month comes a new theme with June's being Birthday. The weather here has been lovely, very warm and spring-like so the Fragrant Blooms image and Springtime Joy sentiment were a perfect match for the card. It's a fun image with lots of detail, even down to the little frog in her apron pocket. I used this for a friend's birthday and she loves spring and gardening so it's a good fit.

Feeling Ruff?

Hello Everyone! A fabulous Sunday to you.

It's Heather here, with some Sunday inspiration with the fabulous stamps of High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

Today my card features the Sick Puppy stamp. This cutie is fluffy and fun and oh so sick! Poor guy.

What I love about this stamp is that the accessories around him give you the opportunity to play with color. Often, animal or dog stamps have alot of "brown" elements in the image. With this one, you can play with your favorite colors, or your patterned papers, to mix and match.

There is a great sentiment that goes with this puppy, Been Ruff. But, I chose to use Back on Your Feet with this layout. This guy looks like he's saggin' and draggin' a bit, so I figured it fit.

Want to know what color combos I used? Y13 and Y15 for the tissue box, with BV0000, BV00, BV02 and BV04 for the coffee cup. The hot water bottle is colored with R22, R24 and R27 and his cozy blanket is B21, B23 and B41. Puppy himself is colored with E11, E23, E25, E42 and E43 and I've also used my C00, C0, C1 and C3 throughout the image.

Check back here, the One Crazy Stamper blog, every day for some brand new inspiration from the Design Team.

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Scrapbook Saturday at One Crazy Stamper

Welcome OCS Fans;

Hi it's Bev here today ... for Saturday Scrapbook layout projects for One Crazy Stampers using High Hopes Stamps. If you have been visiting me on Saturdays you will see that I am only using stamped images as accents on pages. I try to theme them to photos which makes them a perfect accent. I am hoping I could inspire you to try using your stamps on layout pages too.

This page is my 2 eldest Grand Daughters along with a very close friend having snow fun together. The Labor of Love stamp was a great stamped accent for this winter themed Scrapbook page.

This page was also made during National Scrapbook Day while I was cropping with friends... so I used a sketch for this one.

This is Sketches in Thyme sketch for May 1st and it was a perfect fit for the photo and shaker accent.

To start my project I stamped the image  ....  Labor of Love. Lots of times I choose colours that match the photos I plan on using../ for this one I used paper colours and a pop of red.
It was coloured using copic markers and the highlights are signo white gel pen.

For a fun change up I am making this a scrapbook page accent... by making it a shaker.

The amazing chipboards from Creative Embellishments were copic coloured... all the layers on top and sides so when glued together it's all coloured. The kit supplied the clear plastic top so it's a complete shaker. this one was a perfect square size for the stamped image.

Supplies used:
  • Stamp:: Labor of Love  S036
  • Copic Markers: 0. C0, C01, C03, C5, C8, B000, B00, B02, B06, B24, B26, B28, R24, R27, E00, E01, R20, E13, E15, E27, W5, W7, YG93, YG97, YG99, Y13, Y15
  • Other: Echo Park Paper Collection, Creative Embellishments Chipboards, signo white gel pen, cardstock, snowflake sparkle accents, machine stitching, die cut snowflakes
