Heard It's Been Ruff

I am having so much fun with the stamps in the new Get Well Soon release!
When I am sick I have the best four legged nurse ever! My dog loves to cuddle with me when I'm sick and he is even more cuddly when he isn't feeling well.
I have numerous friends who's dogs do the same thing for them and some of them, like me suffer from spring colds and allergies.
Sick Puppy is the perfect stamp to make a feel better soon card for one of those friends.

For my card this week I challenged myself to step out of my colour comfort zone. I think we all have our go colours and this week I wanted to show some love to some markers I don't use as often.
I coloured up this cutie with alcohol markers added some shading using Prisma pencils and cut him out using a stitched rectangle die. Paper from Photo Play was perfect for my colour combo and some matching ribbon and shaped sprinkles were the perfect finishing touches. It is hard to see in the photo but I added a bit of sparkle with some silver Wink of Stella to the thermometer just for fun.

Get Well Mouse

I have to let you in on a little secret. When I am sick, I have a go to "magic" blanket. I call it magical because being curled up under it always makes me feel better. It might be the weight of it but truthfully I think it is because my Mom made it for me and put a little extra touch of Mom can make anything better in it ;)
I think this sick little mouse is under her favourite blanket too don't you? I'm sure she will feel better before she knows it!

I coloured this sweetie with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut her and added some dots to the quilt with a white gel pen. I grabbed some paper from Carta Bella, Lawn Fawn and MME that I thought would all work together to create my card.
The wood grain paper from MME was perfect to create my head and foot board for her bed and the watercolor paper helps bring the lighter shade of purple into my design. A piece of white cardstock cut with a scallop edge and run through a polka dot embossing folder help create my background. Some ribbon and sparkly gumdrops finish off my card.

Cat Doctor Is In!

Welcome One Crazy Stamper Fans!

We have a brand new release for Get Well Wishes from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Today I'm sharing what I'm calling the Cat Doctor Is In, featuring "Nurse Kitty" (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the image and High Hopes Rubber Stamps - "Get Well Soon Script2".
Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE black cats and so I just had to colour this image in the darker colours! LOL! Coloured the image using Copic markers and then used PrismaColor Premier Black pencil to create the fine fur texture.
The striped background paper was chosen because it reminded me of the Candy Stripers who used to volunteer at all of the hospitals when I was younger. (Dating myself here! LOL!) Hoping this little kitty puts a smile on someone's face and cheers them up!

Under The Weather

I am looking forward to Spring - the sun, blue sky and longer walks with my dog. Spring for me does have a downside though.....
Past the mud my dog brings back in to the house - he's cute, he can be forgiven.. I suffer from allergies so Spring means allergies and spring colds.
Anyone else with me? For me it is sniffles, sneezes and runny eyes.

I can definitely relate to "Sick Bird" from the new Get Well Soon release.
This will be me soon lol!

After colouring this cutie up with alcohol markers I added some shading with Prismacolor pencils not only on the stamp but around the edge of it.  Silver gel pen was perfect for the umbrella handle. I cut him out using an oval die and set him aside. Next I chose some fun, bright paper from Lawn Fawn and cut it to size. I went around all my edges lightly with blue ink to give my edges some definition. I stamped the sentiment and went around the edge of it as well. Some ribbon and stitched clouds finish off my card.

Laid Up

Poor Cole seems to be in quite the predicament! If Cole lives where I do, then this injury may have happened by slipping on ice, or tobogganing!
I have used this adorable "Cole's Laid Up" stamp to make a Get Well card for my stash.

After colouring the adorable Cole with alcohol markers, I cut it out using a fun die from Gina Marie Designs. I set it aside and chose some patterned paper from Carta Bella. I cut my pieces to fit my finished 51/2 x 5/12 card base and cut a stitched tag to put my image on. Some ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Cole's Laid Up - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Back On Your Feet - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: It's A Girl - Carta Bella

Get Well Soon!

Welcome OCS Fans;

I'm certainly glad that it is Friday and the weekend will soon be here.  It has been one those weeks, when nothing seems to have gone right.  To top it off, I wasn't able to find where I put a craft item that I wanted to use on today's card. Hopefully, I will eventually find it.

For today's card, I used this adorable English Rose from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  After stamping the image on XPress It Blending Cardstock, I coloured it with copic markers using colours that I usually don't use.  I added some Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops to the roses and on the die, which didn't quite work out the way I wanted.  Nuvo High Gloss White Crystal Drops was used in the corners.

The Nurse is In!

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

I am thrilled to be here today posting my first project as a new member of the OneCrazyStamper Design Team! I love the delightful creations of High Hopes Stamps and I look forward to bringing you weekly inspiration using their images.

Today I have a Get Well card for you. This is super timely in my house, since we all seem to have caught a bit of the sniffles this week!

The image is Nurse Elizabeth Jo. I've stamped her on white paper and colored her up with my copics. I then added a bit of Distress Micro Glaze to the image to protect it as I started applying the background. It works quite well to protect the image. You can see that her hat has a bit of color around the edges, but it stayed mostly white as I applied my three shades or red ink (Work Lipstick, Festive Berries and Fired Brick). I also added just a bit of Peacock Feathers to the background to compliment her hospital scrubs.

Get Well Soon!

This month the One Crazy Stamper design team will be using a variety of High Hopes Rubber Stamps to go along with our Anything Goes Challenge theme.

I was going through my card stash and realized I don't have very many Get Well Soon cards. It is always when we are least expecting it that we need this type of card so I decided to use super cute "Valerie Nurse Angel" to create a card for just this reason.

This 4x4 size card will go perfectly with a get well gift and was inspired by a crafty friend of mine who's name starts with "C".

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers, I cut fussy it out using my trusty manicure scissors. Now, I have noticed that some nurses are wearing print scrub tops to work so I decided to paper piece Valerie's nurse coat to add some fun. I also added sparkle to her wings using a clear sparkle pen.

The sentiment was stamped in three separate words (it comes as on long sentiment) to a piece of patterned paper and added to a die cut clip board - a nurse would have a clip board to record things so I thought it fit perfectly with this image.
I cut some matching card stock and ran it through a heart embossing folder to add some texture.
And since she is repairing a bear who has come un-stitched I hand stitched some stitches on the card with embroidery floss to finish off my card.

Stamps: Valerie Nurse Angel- High Hopes Rubber Stamps or at OCS HERE
Sentiment: Tail Not Waggin/Get Well Soon - High Hopes Rubber Stamps or at OCS HERE
Patterned Paper: Cream and Sugar - Doodlebug
Tuxedo Black ink - MementoMisti, Swiss Hearts Embossing folder - Taylored Expressions, Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen, silver gel pen, Little Notes Die set - YNS, Fishtail Banner dies - YNS

Spectrum Noir: FS5 FS2 TN2 CR7 CR11 PP5 FS2 FS6 1G1 1G2 CT1 CT2 CY1 BG5
